Im off to buy an iPhone

I'd say get some hands on experience with some different models in a phone shop. Android is not for all, some people just can't get on with it and prefer something simpler to use like iOS. Not sure why though as I find Android very simple to use. Also Android can be a different experience from one phone manufacturer to the other due to the different user interfaces they put on. HTC Sense is very good, but I'm not a big fan of Samsung's TouchWiz. If you don't like either, they can be changed.

They followed their roadmap this year too, and took a wrong turn in there somewhere lol.
The suggested future is an exciting on. To have Playbook interaction on the handset will be very nice indeed, if they can pull it off in a timely fashion.
I would love a London just for the hell of it haha. Upgrade time cometh!
I guess its more about what the shareholders want these days, so they could quite easily sell RIM down the river, but who might want to buy them.

I think I will end up buying one of the 2 in the near future. Told to avoid the 3GS, the only thing i would consider now is the 4, sod the 4S. As for the Android choices, S2 or Sensation would be the options. not looked at the nexus yet.

Rather be poor than a tight **** like you lol.
Back on topic, found a Galaxy S2 on contract for £20 a month. thats got to be a winner surely. Cant see me finding anything close to that for an iphone. Would say the 3GS but I was told not to bother as it was old and slow.
Anyone got an HTC Sensation? Thats the other handset of interest at the mo. Both get great reviews.

I'm going to wait another week before I talk to Vodafone about my upgrade. Will keep checking this thread for ideas
I fancy the iphone, but being a tightwad, I am not prepared to pay big money on the monthly contract just to get one

As a previous s2 owner if you don't want an iPhone you really can't go wrong with the s2, I know the nexus has come out now which is meant to be an upgrade of the s2 but from what I have read the s2 is still the phone to have.
My only criticism of the s2 was the flimsy battery cover on the rear but when clipped into place it seemed fine.

Also not an Apple fanboi, but the iPhone is the best-integrated and easiest to use device that I've got. Cutting text from websites into emails/text messages/what's app is a piece of pi$$ even for an old duffer like me. Shame its **** as a phone though.

The one reason BlackBerry is still king at work is data roaming.
Because the unique way all data is handled through RIM we get unlimited global roaming for just £15 a month. In contrast an iPhone user at work clocked up £700 in one week

Quote from the above site about the Samsung s2....."The operating system is the latest version of Android - 2.3 (Gingerbread). Android is our top choice for smartphone OS, and global sales of Android phones seem to be overtaking iPhone quite decisively."

It is an IPhone mate
I think its fantastic and I honestly didn't think it would be such a big step forward from the HTC Desire/Android. Maybe my HTC was a bad one although both my daughters have/had Desire HD's and they're as bad. And I really didn't want to start sounding fanboiy like JackClark either.
Hopefully they'll just give me a new one today if they can't sort it.
