I like the sounds of this even more now lol
Wasnt expecting the battery to be very good actually, how much do you actually use the phone daily?
Looking forwards to forming my own opinions soon, and seeing who I agree with

Texting, whats that all about then ?
Oh you mean like BBM but not as good lol
This will prob spend most of its life at home being occasionally messed about with, but I must confess, from what I have already seen it might get a bit more use than first expected.
Really wanna see the differences between GB and ICS, will have to do some web trawling I guess.

Ics is only on the galaxy nexus atm, everyone else has to wait a while luckily i own both variants.
Ics is well a more polished and complete version of android. It comes with many features that folk have needed apps for, like data usage or camera effects for example.
Can't really explain it, just nip into phones 4u and ask to have a play, you'll get it once you see it in action.
It's caused a lot of iphone owners to jump ship, and they love it.

RIM are now just getting sloppy: http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/12...s_up_bbx_name/
Which is what happens when you are against the ropes: You just make stupid mistakes.

Yes it is Jack, it has a touch screen, has apps, and makes phone calls. And there, thankfully, the similarities end.

I have to say that if Apple don't bring out a replacement for the 'stop gap' 4S before May next year then I will probably be looking at a Samsung Galaxy of some description.
I do like the look of the Galaxy Nexus with ICS OS but some features of the hardware seem like a step backward compared to the Galaxy S2.

I cant stop messing about with the S2 at the mo, which is a bad thing as im at work. Few bits on it that just seem pointless to me, but im sure I will add to the list of gripes in the coming days.
But all in all, im impressed.

Depends, raw horsepower the s2 has a better gpu, but the nexus has a better cpu, plus more memory bandwidth so less chance of it being bottle necked.
Not to mention the os is now gpu and cpu driven.
The 5mp camera was used, because no processor could manage the instant picture taking and other features, so they had to step back there, but there's little between them tbh, there are pro's and cons on both sides.
The screen on the nexus is to die for, even shows up the almighty retina display
