Cheers bud. Its all coming on nicely but theres still a few bits and piecies that need doing.
Inerior wise, I'm going to get a spare set of seats and refurbish the leather seats by adding heated leather seats as well as blue swede and black leather with the colin mcrae signature stiched into it. Gotta sort the sound system as thats pretty much 3/4 done now.
On the outside, im going to get the windows tinted as well as get some foglight covers then get it dropped 35ml and ill be nice n happy

Latest update so far
Had a new piperx panel filter fitted so big thanks to scoobysmeet for that. Other then that im on the hunt for some smaller bolts to fit onto the alloys so i can fit the new alloys that are sitting in the garage atm. As some of the esc know, my exhaust is not sitting quite right so next friday its a trip to pipecraft where they said they will get it sorted, then after a trip to terry the tint to get the windows sorted so be an expensive day out. Ive gotta sort out the rear calipers as i think one of them is permanetly on. Ive noticed now my passenger side pads have worn out again so thats two sets of rear pads in 8,000 miles. So im going to get the pads changed again then source a set of two pots for the rear brakes. Think ill be sticking to the subaru own brand ones tho all round so it all matches with the brakes

Well lately ive been focusing on refurbing my 4 pot calipers so thought id have a go at doing them myself. So these calipers looked like they was left at the bottom of the river thames for the last few years. I spent the afternoon working on both calipers. It took me just over 3 hours just to get the 4 brake pad pins out. In the end i had to hacksaw two of the caliper pins to release the pads.
![](http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/nn141/BLACKSRI/DSC_0367.jpg)
Still i was derermined not to give up so the second step was to release the black rubber plastic boots and safety rings
![](http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/nn141/BLACKSRI/DSC_0369.jpg)
That was a fairly easy job so decided it was time to get the pistons out. That turned out to be a damn sight harder then i thought

You can see why these turned out to be more agro then what there worth so in the end decided sod it, ill get them done proffesionally so a quick call to Ian at Godspeed Brakes was in order.
Meanwhile today, i took a trip to the breakers yard. I see they had a blobeye that had been written off due to fire damage. Looks like it had been used on a few track days as its had uprated drop links front and back as well as upgraded roll bars and all bits n bobs from whiteline. I noticed the blobeye had 2 pot rear pistons so the guys got it off the railings. Whipped them off within 30mins for both sides as they kept the car at a good height for me to work on.
How much do you think they was??
![](http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/nn141/BLACKSRI/DSC_0377-1.jpg)
A grand total of £70 for the pair. I couldnt have got them of quicker as i recentely lost out on a bid by £2 and they sold for just short of £175 so that was what you call deal of the day. Anyways for Ian to refurb the front and rear calipers with stainless steel pistons and freshly repainted yellow for me. Ill send them off shortly then refit them with the 335ml brake upgrade kit..... Gonna be an expensive month but well worth it.... On a side note whats the best fluid to use??

Coming along nicely mate. What exhaust was it you fitted? And the vent pod for your boost gauge, did you buy it like that of do it yourself? Im looking at a way to fit a boost gauge in my classic wagon MY97, its a different dash to yours but ive been thinking of getting rid of the centre vents and putting a boost and oil pressure gauge in there.

Cheers for the coments mate. Yea i won it off ebay however its a fairly easy mod to do. Ghe 97 subarus was the prefacelift version. Ive got the centre pod carbon fibre holder however still not got any pods apart from the boost gauge.
Anyways had a bill for £700 on saturday after the subaru failed its Mot on the steering rack. So told the garage i use to fit a brand new one. Even tho it still wouldnt pass as the emissions was too high... Stupid decat systems lol. Still they know me so they passed it
On the plus side look at the work Terry The Tint man done for me

Cheers for that mate. Ive spent the afternoon trying to get the sound system to work. Ive got the sub n amp working nicely now however when i connect my phone to the 3.5mm jack the music only seems to come out the left side speakers yet if i turn the radio on or cd player on it still works out of all 4 speakers..... Confused.com lol

Well heres the next bargain guys. Managed to source myself a jdm double din radio surround for the subaru. Ive had enough of the pioneer dvd flip out screen so thats up for sale. Ill make do with my old sony radio for now till i manage to buy myself a decent double din touch screen radio.

Paid £25 quid delivered for this.
Had the windows tinted on the subaru so its looking nice now but having 2nd thoughts on the design of the alloys. Think im gonna get shot of the multi spoke gold alloys and find myself some 17's that are similar to what ive got already which is the standard uk turbo 2000 alloys

Well sadly its time to take the classic off road for a few months to get some work done to it. Been a lovely car to drive but now it just needs a lot more work doing to it. Im not sure which route to go down be it big power or keep it as a daily runner. Needs new suspension, drop links, new exhaust, new brakes all round, new rear lights
