I think with HP if the loan amount is paid off and it's only their interest outstanding they can't seize the car back . If you have an HP agreement this is the time to plead poverty and make them an offer. As i said 50% is not unusual for them to accept.

Just out of curiosity, what happens to the outstanding finance on it? Is the OP responsible for it? Will the finance company track down the previous keeper?

I don't think people are being negative, just wondering how it was resolved so easily. End of the day you've been stupid and are very lucky to get away with it.

The BMW was nice to start with but a he'll of a lump to park and everybody thought I was a drug dealer it was a nice car dude but the mrs wouldn't drive it and before that I had a 225 tt on a 54 plate which was was quick and handled nice when we had our new little girl back in July we couldn't get the baby seat in the tt so had the Beemer but it handled like a boat and I wasn't able to play the scoob came to my attention and the deal was done

You obviously fail to read my original posts I'll start again,,they've changed it since my claim against them but it said on there front page originally that they do hpi checks and at no point on there web site did it say they didn't do them it even says 10000 financial data guarantee we bought the gold level check and all was clear so I purchased the car,do I really have to do this again, and again I didn't spend 5.5k on the car I swapped it
