Run K&N on my classic for 120k been washed twice and re oiled and not had a problem. Currently running 290bhp through it. Also run K&N for rallying for 10 years with no issues. Also run pipercross dry foam in the past but plastic frame cracked on it.

Thanks guys, got some brands to look for now. I think I would prefer a dry one though so Simota, Cosworth and Pipercross all appeal.

I had a Green Cotton one in my old scooby (MY00). Seemed okay and didn't kill the MAF. Not fit and forget mind, can't remember how often but you had to take it out and clean it with some special stuff the re-oil it (lightly
)
