I suppose in all honesty, you can't be too surprised if it was left in the rubbish area and the bloke had a use or a market for it.

I'm not bothered that it's gone, and I can just about understand the second hand value of it Les.
But it was out of sight (or so we thought), so someone has come along purely on spec and found an old toilet.
I can hear them now...
" Ah, just the very thing, I've been looking for one of those. You can never find one when you want one"

One thing I forgot to mention was that whoever took it, left 5 feet of lead pipe that joined the cistern to the pan, and a virtually new lid that we fitted about 6 months ago.

Yes bit strange to leave the new lid and the lead. Difficult at times to understand people's motives.
