Me and Rossco did a bit more today which was laying the fuel lines underneath to get the lengths right and also fitting the rivnuts in the floor pan to hold them in place, very happy with how it all looks and laid out, just need a couple more unions for the engine bay and then we can get all the lines buttoned up.
Also took a trip over to see the master of metal Bennet to show him his fuel tank I'm painting but also to drop in my Odessy battery for him to make a trick box to secure it in the boot,he also had my header/PAS tanks ready after a few more modifications,as usual perfect job but he also had a nice surprise in that not only did he swap out the PAS's normal lid for an alloy one but he added a built in dipstick onto it as well, fooking awesome dude cheers!!
I'm off on holiday next week so upon return I will get the unions required organised and battery picked up from Matt and have all parts required to finish mocking everything up!!!
Oh and the piece for the top of the power steering pump to allow for a dash union came back, still needs trimming to size.

Had a little pic from the metal master Bennet, battery holder finished and just as asked he's left the front open to keep the Odyessy sign on show!!
Been up to Alex at torques as well to swap a couple of unions and get a check valve to stop fuel backing out of the fuel pump and causing slow starting in the mornings.
Got a few jobs for customers[not mentioning any names but you know who you are, sorry for the delays guys lol] to get done so no updates due for a little while I'm afraid.

That's a cracking looking battery tray, and the battery isn't too shabby either. I dare say that cost a pretty penny.
I'm sure the other car(s) awaiting work are going to be very worthwhile of that I've no doubt.

Sorry to say folks I may be shelving the project, work is flat out and won't be altering for the foreseeable future what with several resprays booked plus normal everyday/trade work and tbho I don't know if I have it in me to wait ages for it to get done.
Some serious thinking will be done over the next few days.

Just sit back, clear the back-log and then take some time to get your's done. It can't be too far off now with most bits assembled just waiting to be put back together
We'll have to a do an Impreza equivalent of a decorating party when the weather gets better - a load of us, barbie and beer and we'll crack it in a weekend

Ryan its a once in a lifetime project you are doing it would be a very sad day after all the blood sweat and tears oh and Money you have invested in it if you decide to shelve it.The workmanship is second to none. That is not **** licking that is fact.I expect there are 100's even 1000's on this forum thinking the same as me.
I will climb down off my soabox now.

Like Jon said, just take your time. Take a break from it, concentrate on work and family and come back to it mate. You will regret it. Things might go quiet or calm down in time and then you can come back to it. Don't do anything hasty mate

As said drop a car cover over it and hide it away and concentrate on working for a bit, you will know when your ready to return and when you pull the sheet off you will get second wind

Have to 1000000% agree with all of the above Ry. Don't make any decisions just yet and as said hide it under a cover and go back to it once work calms down. Would be such ashame to throw the towel in at this stage as there's plenty of us waiting to see how this story finishes and hopefully with a fairy tale ending

keep at it mate, projects like yours don't get finished overnight, plus if you weren't so good at painting you wouldn't have all this work to earn cash to pay for it ...

Sometimes we all need to just get our heads down and pretend there's nothing else other than work/kids/money. The down times on a project are hard, but when something clicks together it makes it all worth while. You know it makes sense .
