I work in construction and am a professional tradesman in what i do which i have done for 20+ years.
Since the foriegn workers have come to the uk it has been so much harder for us to find work.
Thats a FACT.
When ever they are on a project that i am working on,i have seen with my own eyes the bad quality workmanship they produce as they dont know what they are doing.
They watch what we are doing and try to learn in that way.
But we always have to sort the mess and incorrect work they have done.
This is Just my real life experience of what is REALLY happening.
You only really understand what they are doing to this country when you are in the thick of it!
Just because its not affecting YOU it does'nt mean its not happening.

I appreciate and respect your observations Beal, but on the flip-side, I have seen the opposite here in Herefordshire. A lot of foreign workers doing very good jobs, construction included.
I agree that there is an issue finding work though, and that is a tough one to overcome.

Now this, I totally agree with.
A Romanian chap worked for one of the Companies I work for. The amount of benefits he received was unreal. He openly bragged about keeping his wages to buy a house to eventually bring his wife and kids over. Meanwhile he was sending his benefits home for said wife and kids to live on. Eh!!!!!!

The industry I work in has a lot of foreigners working in it, and it's not because we're any cheaper than the brits, so have a think about why we get jobs and why we're "bleeding the country dry".

For the record, I have never claimed any benefits, nor will we be entitled to any child benefits, tax credits etc either once we have kids. In the last ten years I've been unemployed for 3 days (two of which were saturday and sunday) - didn't bother signing on...
Perhaps if everyone looked beyond the daily mail/sun etc, you'd see that it's not quite as clear cut as the papers make out.

I'm not saying all Henrik. I only have experience of the one. He was a very nice man and a very hard worker, but I do think it was unfair the amount of benefits he was getting and the fact he was sending it home. I contribute to those benefits and would much prefer they went to someone like my friend, whose Husband can't work because of illness and all she gets is Jobseekers? How the hell can he work when he is ill. I don't understand how the Romanian chap got as much as he did when she gets virtually nothing.
I get totally mad at people over-claiming/cheating too - it's my tax money, damnit, and I'd rather it was spent on schools and other useful stuff.

In East Anglia when the Eastern Europeans started to go home the farmers crops rotted in the fields as there was no one to pick them.
Suddenly trained engineers, PhDs and skilled workers from Poland suddenly realised working 12 hours a day in freezing conditions wasn't worth the £250 a week and it was better off going home.
Not many 'white' Brits jumping in to do the work

Our benefits system is too generous , its no wonder your average european is smirking with delight cant blame em - if their countries had reciprocal arrangements then fine but..
And then theres our home grown spongers which is an even bigger probelm
Other that its all even as far as im concerned, people come here to work cos theres work available and it pays more.
Id wager that if you took the benefits away tomorrow we would still have foreign workers here

If you saw a burglar breaking into a neighbour's house I suppose you would not report that either.
It comes to the same thing!

There are some GREAT ideas for dealing with the ills of the UK, on here, and more, I'm sure that haven't been aired.
Many of them surround how to get people into work, and those who are presently doing jobs that maybe they oughtn't to be, out of them, onto a decent pension or back home.
But, and it's a huge but: it would require a government with *****, one who would stand up to Europe, the bleeding heart lefties and the ECHR.
And while WE elect self-serving, pocket-filling, crony-appeasing trough swillers, we will NEVER have that government.
So we might as well all shut up and wait for the next shower of **** to fall on us, because as sure as eggs are eggs, it's coming.
You heard it here first

/national government.
Say 10-5 years ago, wages etc in Poland were much lower, and sterling was much higher. Now the zloty is higher and the pound is lower, and wages have risen in Poland. Small wonder it doesn't seem attractive to freeze your limbs off for minimum wage

FFS. There was no treaty to be stood up to! Cameron is lying through his teeth for political gain and the media are too dumb to work out the truth.
As for sending all foreigners home, no. Just get any non-UK citizens to apply for a work permit to entitle them to stay in the country. Have a quota system for jobs, like the Aussies do when trying to emigrate there, and only if it can be shown there are not enough UK bods qualified does the permit get issued. Jobs picking fruit and serving in restaurants, for example, would have a zero quota level as we have plenty of home grown 'cheap' labour to do those. Only spouse (and just one spouse!!) plus kids could come with you and they would get NO benefits until you'd worked and pain into the tax system for, say, 5 years. Lose the job? Sorry, bye bye.
Just cut all benefits full stop as above for non-UK citizens. Bet there wouldn't be many left here after a couple of months, so no need to chuck them out. Unless they were caught working without a permit, then instant removal.
Simples!
Dave

Go on and blame the work shy foreigners/scamming foreigners/benefit cheating foreigners (delete as applicable) if it makes you feel better about your situation...

heres a scenario thats probably reoccurring up and down the country.
Grandson talking to his Grandad.
''I cant get a job Grandad, companies streamlining and making job cuts as the country is f@cked, people are being asked to work over retirement age as the pensions are f@cked.
There are no jobs out there for me. But I get my rent paid, council tax paid and get tax credits for the 3 kids I have. Free dental care, free school dinners, clothing grants....''
Grandad,
'' Ive worked all my life and now I just want to retire. My house is paid, my mortgage is paid, Im financially secure but the government wont give me my 130 quid a week pension so I have to keep my job and work longer''.
Can you see what Im getting at???
Let the pensioners retire, give them their pension and introduce some sort of scheme that where any job becomes vacant because a person is retiring, that job has to be filled by a suitable candidate who is claiming benefit.
Gets him off the dole, paying rent and council tax, earning a wage, contributing to the the economy.
Grandad gets to retire with his pension and a younger person gets his job.
Is it that simple or am I missing something?

i have said this loads of times before but for the record will do it again
THE LAZY ENGLISH FILTH as you put it can't afford to do a min wage job , if they have children and live in a council house/rented property.they are better off on benefits .
-25-30million a week is sent home to other countries in the form of child benefit that a eu worker can claim the moment they get a ni number and pay tax , the problem with this is that if on min wage the child benefit is more than they pay in tax

as living standards rise in Poland and fall in England, I guess most would go home. It's not the eastern europeans' fault that England is in the mire btw, that's got more to do with overspending by the British, both in terms of personal overspend and also local
/national government.

2 points to the OP
1. Cameron has not won any 'independence' for the UK, that's just simply untrue.
2. If we are in favour of free market capitalism, then how can we be against an open labour market?
