What's the spec on yours now?
What's wrong with the shock? Can't say i'm totally happy with mine either. Very noisy and not very refined, but it'll do for now. Very, very smooth on slow stuff mind you...

Deore full groupset with XT BB(don't ask)
Rockshox xc30tk
DT Swiss wheels with Specialized S-Works tyres
2012 Cannondale seat
Easton EA70 seat post, bars and stem
A2Z head spacers
FSA Orbit II headset
Odi Rogue grips

Yes i've spent a bit on it, but it's built the way i'd want it(bar the shock) and can sell off most bits i've swapped. Still trying to get the shifters/derailluers set up correctly...fine balance in them isn't there?

Its a DT Swiss 210 - its ok, but just lacks a little bit of small/high frequency bump refinement. Some of the reviews said the same thing. Can't fault the Reba forks now I've found the perfect pos/neg air pressure though. They are very tunable and nicely rigid given they are on the light SID chassis.

Your shock probably needs a service. As for your shifters and mechs, might be worth getting them set up by a pro, or downloading the set up instructions form the web?

How do you find the stem? - thats some length

Lol the shock is brand new, so i hope it doesn't need a service! It's a coil, not air, so expect it's just going to be noisy...

Old stem was long, but bars felt too low for me. I just stuck to the same length stem/added spacers and with my height, it feels pretty damn good for it.

Been checking instruction and videos, but it's just getting the tuning right. Got the rear setup up perfect yesterday, but now the chain rubs the front derailluer when on the low and high rear sprockets. Don't think i have the front derailluer low enough.

Ah

Didn't realise you'd replaced the shock as well as the forks

Just a thought - is the front mech designed for a 3 x 10 set up?

Sorry bud, i'm getting confused....the front fork is new, but yes the rear shock is old. It's the fork that is fairly noisy on impact.

Whole groupset is new and yes, designed for 3x10. Just think i have it too far up the post.
