It's not advertised anywhere now m8 he said for that price he would keep it coz he was dying to get his hands on a RB320 but coz of the Stupid offers he didn't bother. Think there was only 2 owners Which was the oldman and b4 him it was Subaru uk that owned it. My oldma is askin r u lookin for a 2005 sti if so how much u looking to spend m8?

I was just checking this again as i was thinking of coming down this weekend to view it, and i noticed the other poster talk about it being in a smash? I then searched your posts and noticed someone did indeed smash into the back of it - i went to view the pictures, but it says you removed them on the 20th Jan 2012? Any chance you can put these pics up again so i and other buyers can see them. Also i understand you said it was light, but your post after the incident says

"damage is quite bad, hoping they right it off"

What actually happened, and who repaired it please and at which cost?

Not trying to have a go but surely is better to be honest with buyers and tell them it has been repaired etc?

Thanks

Ross

Me, personally, would NEVER buy a car from someone who was regularly active on an 'owners club'.

Why not, it is by far the best way to get a detailed view of it's history. Only if it's been owned a fair while obviously, but this advert is a prime example.

It's actually quite handy buying off a forum because you can go through previous posts and look to see if they have had any issues over time.

I seen the pictures as a forum member warned me to check the seller's previous posts. It was a nasty bump but obviously has been repaired to a high standard.

I think the seller has been a bit economic with the truth in saying it was a "light tap" as it clearly wasn't and to make it worse he's now removed the pictures and hasn't replied to any of the comments.

Should have been a bit more up front from the start really.

I don't think there was any intentional deception but obviously he knew that it would put people off.

Reading previous post was why I lost interest in this motor, seems to have been quite badly damaged

Lets start with the damage to the car
The bumper was damaged, rear light and some panel damage, if the damage was severe the insurance company would have wrote it off, its as simple as that. The car has been professionally repaired and inspection will contest to that. Mechanically the car is perfect and has just been sericed by subaru.
In terms of informing people of the damage, it quite clearly states on the first page or second there was a knock. The picture was removed because it showed the damage to be worse than it actually was. However even with the damage sustained I still think the car is priced reasonably.

Only when you were asked, you did not mention it. Anyways good luck with the sale, all i am saying is i think it is best to be honest when selling cars, especially on forums like this which is all about trust - thus why your car has not sold for the price you have it at. Removing the photos seems very odd, am not expecting you to put them up in the for sale section but removing them from the old post just makes you look guilty of trying to hide something.

Has certainly got me thinking about purchasing a car from the for sale section before doing my research!

I think the only way to salvage this is to post the pics on here and back to back with how it is now. Deleting them for any reason just proves dishonesty
