I've never tried any of the Whychwood brewery ones. A mate of our is always going on about Hobgoblin, and telling me how strong it is (because I'm a girly, he thinks I can't handle it ). At least, until I gave him a bottle of Old Tom

So it's kind of put me off trying it, because he keeps wittering on about it.

It certainly was nice. I think I know what you mean about the burnt toast but it wasn't like that, definite chocolate overtones which is a bit odd as I don't think there's any in it No whisky flavours either which is not the norm for Brewdog beers aged in whisky barrels

Not an everyday beer but nice to enjoy over a Saturday evening!

Went to a large grden centre this afternnon where they had a shop and a display of Piddle beers. A Dorset business apparently with a range of beers including: -

Piddle

Jimmy Riddle

Silent Slasher

Really, really stupid names I thought as joke last about 2 seconds and I can't see serious boozers buying the stuff.

May be I am wrong

david

Edit to add: I see the brewery is located in a place called Piddlehinton so I withdraw some of my criticisms about the name!!
