Sorry to hear about your problems. Tbh most home owners have made this kind of mistake before, you are not alone.

I made a very expensive mistake like this once and it cost me about £3k which I will never get back. Funnily enough just like you it was inappropriate tiles for a shallow slope.

This is not really advice to you but anybody else who is reading this. After that experience I have never let anybody do anything to my property until I have fully understood how it should be done.

I'm having quite a lot of work done on my house at the moment and I've spent days and days reading up about everything. It is time well spent no matter how busy you are. Though I can't hammer a nail straight I can tell you everything from steel costs, foundation requirements, insulation requirements etc etc.
