I'm really cheesed off to be honest and I'm questioning now whether I even want to attend this year's show let alone organise anything for any future Rally Day shows.
Perhaps it requires a special handshake or something else I don't know about to ensure a 'premier' spot, whatever it is I obviously don't possess it - I have emailed the organisers but I don't hold out much hope if a cogent response if any at all.

I know what your saying Matt but there are clubs in the centre paddock area with not even 10 cars, it makes me wonder what is required to get a better spot?
Even the Ford clubs with far less cars get better spots, it may seem like I'm being unduly critical but it seems like unless your the SIDC or MLR or know a funny handshake then you're goosed when it comes to the centre paddock.

Like you said, unless your one of the bigger name clubs who everybody knows for these bigger styled events, you'll never get in unless you know someone or give a shady back hander.
By anychance is MLR the organisers again?

Same with Performance Car Action Day etc etc.
You could split down SWS into East Wales, and West Wales, as my old Vauxhall club used to do that to get more free tickets and a better pitch.
No secret handshake needed.

To quote a press release
'Rallyday organisers, Brian Stubbings and Darin Frow'
No wonder they stick all the Subaru clubs out in the boonies with exception of SIDC.

Its the same with most shows there, the less cars you have the better the spot.

I have pretty much the same response this year as last year, next year they will see what they can do blah blah etc.

I appreciate what you are saying Jimbob but it shouldn't have to be that way, last year I was told after complaining to Rally Day that we would get a better spot if I stated it on the enquiry email and follow up communications.
