I got a reply....
" its a doch 4 turbo and remappin was all before ive put it back together you would have to put front intercooler back on to reach full bhp i just never saw the need and wanted to run her in real slow as ive heard of damage caused by not runnin in probaly i left the small intercooler on so as turbo would not get cool enough to produce maximam boost its not been on a test since ive done what ive had done bhp figure from before but im sure prodrive in banbury would keep records hope this help "

Anyone mentioned the mileage at 6,500?
Which bit of the car is "standard"?
Love the answer to the question he has not put the intercooler on because he is running it in. I can't find a smiley that really suits that sort of comment.
Perhaps it's the convetion pipe which creates all the power......
....and I gues the exterior tuning is the STi badge on the back.
I can confirm there is something correct in the ad though, the Registration Date.

Had another message from the owner, when quizzed about the engine modifications in order to produce the fabled 440bhp:
So then, that 20k's worth I spunked on my old green classic was wasted, when all I needed was a "cross over manifold"
recon lump prodrive ecu have front intercooler with car big turbo big injectors cross over turbo manifold

pmsl i posted this up on another forum 2wks ago when he had it up the first time,
i asked what turbo was on the car and could he provide any paperwork for the engine build, this was the reply i got on 23rd jan.
it has a dohc 4 turbo what is as i take it is double the size of the dohc 2 turbo what was on the car i got the lump from i have put a 4500 reserve on her but would do a buy it now for around 5500 as i know ill be loosin what ive put into her but when she has been on the road its makes the loss all worth while it was remapped at prodrive in banbury so i would asume the have it all on file of what was done there im more a driver than a fixer whitch is why ive got a mecanic to do all the work with me but do belive to kind of have a much better understandin of her as with him we have had the engine out and in three times as i brought a cheap enigine before the recon lumps but was a waist as the bottom end bearins were loose on that any other questions dont hesitate to ask

So he had the car mapped in Banbury by Prodrive!!!
The closest this car has been to a Map, Is the Map of Great Britain shoved in the door pockets!!!
He is either really stupid and thinks everyone can be fooled by his "Fast and Furious" sh1te talk. Or he listens to people who haven't got a clue.

I would say the latter. He obviously has no clue about impreza's or how to obtain 400bhp.
He has been fed a line of bullsh1t from the previous owner & is now using the same story to try and shift this car on. On top of this he has the literacy skills of the average Sun reader. So to sum up, crap car, terrible advert & hilarious to read!

Trouble is Ive spoken to plenty of people like this!!! Its hard to keep a straight face. There is a chap near me who bought his first Impreza come knocking on my door as he had seen that Ive had a few Impreza's.
You should have heard some of the stuff he was coming out with, Reckoned his 97 WRX with what I could see, only had a full exhaust(pop the bonnet and the standard air box, intercooler etc was still there) said he had been to Santa Pod that weekend and did 3 runs and managed 10 second quarter miles, and his car was running 400bhp. What do you say to that!!!!
