I had a fully grilled FE today - apart form the fried bread and (crispy ) egg.

So much nicer (less oily obviously). Just felt more, ahem, 'healthy'.

it's not full, then. Is it ?? Sorry, you may mean that what you grilled was fully
and properly grilled. Fairy is nuff.

Anyway, lightly fried eggs are fine unless you have about 30 in one breakfast, dripping with oil. Its the fried bread and fried sausages too often that are dangerous for health.

I didn't fancy any English brekkie today. I instead had a huge bowl of corn flakes with 6 sliced almonds and 12 raisins for my brunch.

lol I did think that.

But you can't get round frying the bread and eggs - otherwise they woudn't be "fried". So felt qualified in saying a "fully grilled", despite it not being literally accurate.

God I'm boring myself.

When I first posted this thread, I thought it wouldn't attract much interest. But I guess a lot of Brit's do indeed love their English, Welsh, Irish and Scottish brekkies!

Indeed, when you ask a foreigner what they most associate Britain with, apparently our incredibly lard-based brekkies comes top of the list! Ahead of the Queen and the monarchy!! And tea.

You got it all wrong!... MUST have mushrooms... MUST have black (or white) pud!!

BBs are NOT part of the classic FE!

4 Richmond sausages
3 slices of un smoked Bacon with the fat cut off
Button mushrooms
1 Small tin of heinz curried baked beans
1 Whole chopped fresh tomato
2 Slices of brown toast
3 Thick slices of black pudding
1 Hash brown
2 Fried eggs runny with the white removed as much as possible
Lots of pepper and a rocket fuel coffee..
