RIP Whitney!
A very sad day, I also feel very sorry for her daugher who is only 18 years old who has to come to terms with her loss in the glare of the media furore, speculation and finger pointing that will no doubt ensue.

dont really feel sorry for her tbh, shes dead and knows nothing of it, its who she leaves behind that carry the burden, sorry ect - i feel for them.
i really really do beleive, that having too much money and too much time, is a very fragile situation to be found in. it just takes a spark of influemce - in her case bobby brown to tip things the wrong way imo.

Lottie must be on drugs herself to mistake Oprah with Whitney. Its like mistaking Robert Pattinson for Daniel Redcliffe- just because both are British cockasians.
Actually, these boys do look a bit similar. Dan is a stunted version of Rob, I suppose.

Why are people sad she's dead?
She had a choice in life. She had far more choices than most thanks to what fame and money can bring.
She chose to take drugs. No one forced her. Just like that other smack head Amy Winehouse.......
Good riddance.

Shows the power of drugs though. If someone wealthy, with access to top medical help/ rehab etc, can't kick them then what hope is there for some poor kid living on a sink estate with nothing in the future to look forward to?

Doesn't matter how much money you have if you don't WANT to quit. Saw an interview on TV earlier with Oprah and she was so obviously in denial that her problem was out of control, and that she enjoyed the drugs, but maybe not the negative publicity they attracted.

About her own choice and your total lack of sympathy for her over-indulgance in drugs, that's your prerogative. I don't think anyone here has said yet that it was great for her to do that many drugs , have they?? No one said that she was forced to do them either, or sympathised with her for doing them, have they?? People are sad because a great talent has gone forever at as young as 48, leaving some great songs behind; just like Amy Winehouse. It is tragic. As tragic as some roughhead dying of drugs in a gutter somewhere else. If it's not tragic to you, so be it. You are also entitled to your feelings or no feelings over the matter.
People are calling her miserable and troubled because someone like Whitney with such fame, money and talent fading away with drugs is not something one do unless one's head is fcuked. It is possible that her head was fcuked due to drugs, not because she did drugs to sort her fcuked-up head, who bleddy knows. So, if people want to feel sorry for her some unknown reasons for her drugs dependency, its their choice. Its not exactly a case of some plural ignorance or show-off sympathy.
I understand that you recoginise her music as **** music, fine. You are entitled to your opinion. About the mourners, what happens is that when a recording artist makes or sings a song that touches million of people all over the world, the artist makes an impact upon those people. Those people start to connect with that artist. For the same reason, some will bash such artists for being cr@ppy drughead role models to the youngsters. Agreed. But most people here on SN aren't youngsters any more, anyway. On the other hand, even many oldsters favour recreational use of drugs here, so why beat Whitney or Amy for dying of it?? That's because they overdid them to lead them to their death?? Well, if you don't know these artists, what right on this earth do you get to slate or judge them for their drug habits?? LOL It's normal for people to express their sorrow upon someone's death who has made some impact upon them; druggies or no druggies. So, just let people be sad or not sad, and carry on with your views regardless. Don't bother to bother about others being bothered. Simple.
I feel like that about Jim Morrison, you know. I think he was a brilliant musician (although I connect his music to some extreme downers causing atmosphere), but the drughead invited death to him himself; one way or some other. His death must have been a very sad occasion for the ones who he made a full on or partial impact, but I find it difficult to sympathise, for I have read that he was a right chauvenistic tw@t. However, I don't mind others being sad for his death. I get it, like.
