Easy.

He may have been grateful to the copper for letting him off.... But I doubt he offered him any favours!

How is the section 59 registered - is it against the reg or the car vin, or the owner of the vehicle?

I was pulled over by an unmarked audi estate and told i'd been tailgating, undertaking and speeding. I was genuinely certain i;d not done any of the first 2, and in a very polite manner did question this. They also said they had been following me since i;d left the motorway - this was odd, as I had not actually been on the motorway!....left me thinking that they had the wrong car.

Anyhow, arguing was not an option as they were both carrying sidearms!

But they let me off and were very reasonable just saying they would put a 'marker' on the car for the next 6 months.....is this the same as the section 59?

They did make me laugh as they got in their car - they said we are a tactical firearms unit, we dont do paperwork!! -

I've changed cars since hence wondering how it all links up.

This is why we need more police officers out on the road and less speed cameras.....

I was pulled over on a GSXR 750, after he asked me my speed a few times the copper said "cut the sh*t i was doing 95 in my car and you were leaving me for dead" he actually complemented me on slowing down when i hit a built up area and let me off, after asking me what the brand new bike was like compared to previous models

a friend is a traffic copper, he says it's rare that he tickets someone, usually if they have an attitude problem or really stupid driving

he loves it when he gets a call, he has driven to a chase radio'd in over 25 miles away. full chat, everyone moving out of your way, no fuel bills

I asked my wife if she'd ever been pulled by the fuzz, she said no, but she had been swung by her t*t's though!
