what was the deal with boxnation? we were off to a mates with sky to watch it, then he said it said on his planner that you'd have to subscribe, he rings up to be told it's a tenner a month, but you've got to sign up for a minimum of 3 month. so not wanting to cough up 30 bucks we thought we'd head off to the casino where we usually watch boxing, they didn't have it on. goes to the pub full of big screens round the corner, they didn't have it on. we then stumble on a pub that had it on when we walked in, order the beers, then find out they hadn't subscribed (would of cost them £100) and the channel would scramble at 9:30. 9:30 came and went along with the dial this number to subscribe info on the screen. just as the fight start my mates missus txt him saying it was on in their house for free. wtf?

I wish we had some heavy weights like the Klitschco brothers in England who at least manage some kind of honour and class, we have some petulant children representing the UK at that weight. Tyson Fury seems much more of a grown up so how come despite beating Chisora he did not get the fight with Vladimir ?
On another note all this pay per view is killing boxing, they seem to have to make a big fuss to try and sell the fight instead of acting like professional sportsmen.

Didn't see the fight in the end, the official one, Chisora done well apparently.

Watched all the brawling, and the second video shows a lot more.
Haye knows whacking someone with a bare fist equals bad news for his previously broken hand. Thats why he had the bottle in his fist, not that I'm defending him, both their actions were disgusting. If it weren't for Chisora's death threaths, he could have come out of this reasonable well. I mean, Haye threw the first punches, and started going crazy with the tripod.

The Klitchsko's shouldn't go anywhere near these embarrasing clowns, they don't need to bring themsleves down to the level of these chumps, no matter how many different ways they decide to bring down the sport.

Yeah the Klitschco brother are gentlemen. Vlad especially is very articulate when interview.

I never thought Haye was that bad really, maybe a bit of a motormoith, but Chisora seems like some over grown infant.

Check out his pixxor lol.

I've not heard Tyson Fury speak though but I read an interview where he kept going on about what a real gypsy he was and I thought it was a bit embarrassing.

Kitschko is getting really old but still looks in good condition. Haye is an ok boxer but Chisora is an old skool bum basically but fairly sturdy.

Yeah I know it was all wrong and they should be fined/banned/jailed or whatever but I thoroughly enjoyed it - like a lot of people if they are honest.

Not often one is treated to a good old fashioned brawl

At least they weren't biting each other's ears off a la Tyson

Haye, Chisora and Fury are an embarrassment to British boxing. Chisora is just scum though and I hope the police do him for threatening to shoot and burn someone.

The boxing board has said they may both be banned for life! Unlikely i would imagine due to the amount of interest this has generated in them.

Probably would have broken his hand if not, and he knew it. It would have set him back on his "masterplan" if he did.

I thought that as well at first but when you see that punch with the bottle in hand that could have went badly wrong so i dont think it was.

After watching the video I am about 50-50 thinking it was a set up.

It is the way Chisora behaves after the 'brawl' talking to that short guy from Hayes camp, just seemed a bit 'set up' the way it leads to promises to have a fight between Chisora and Hay etc all voiced several times quite clearly in front of everyone, and that short guys talks to Klitschko about how he respects him etc all very loud and clear.

Plus it looks like Haye hit Chisora in the shoulder/chest and probably not that hard.

Hayes no longer has a boxing license due to retirement, so pretty much escapes being banned for life, unless he wants to do somekind of comeback, which he was eyeing up anyway AFAIK, I guess all they can do to him is revoke his application for the license though when/if he does reapply.

As for the other ****, slapping his opponent during weigh in, spitting in his opponents brother face before the fight, then the fight with Hayes he should be banned for life for being a complete ****!

I still don't understand?
How does the bottle prevent this?

The bottle is strengthening the force of the punch, so his fist is not taking the full force of the impact.

Although holding a glass item and wanting it to absorb energy is not the wisest choice of objects.

Its not a good idea I know, but he didn't break it, I'd imagine it'd be pretty hard to break the neck of a bottle.
I originally though he may not have had time to put it down, but he did have plenty of time from when Chisora said he is coming down.

Haye will never admit it, but he knew there was a chance he could break his hand going bare knuckle.

Even Iron Mike Tyson broke his hand in a fight with Mitch Green in the late 80's. Ican't remember if that was before or after their fight in the ring.

I gave up with boxing when Calzaghe retired. Most of the time they spend hugging each other. Give them some 16oz gloves like they use in MMA and that will soon improve viewing figures

UFC all the way for me. Anything like that would happen and they are kicked out - has happened already e.g. Paul Semtex Daley who only threw a sucker punch after a fight ended (that he lost).
