I ate some, well maybe all their pig roast at unity last november
and got the invite, perhaps they are just trying to recoup their costs
I used Crossroads last year but I didn't get an Invite either, although I was already going on 22nd
LOL
I also had a very strange call today from my "Local" Subaru dealer

Dissapointing
Believe it was the Type S with auto box but I'll have to check.

Correct, top spec with auto box.
Tested against MX-5, 370Z, a hot Megane & a 15 year old Impreza; across France & Wales with a trip on track too.
They really liked the handling but felt it was very short on power / torque.
Said it really struggled with the narrow power band especially uphill or around blind corners where you wanted a sudden shot of torque!
Some of this might have been due to the gearbox but it sounds like our worst fears have been realised.
On the plus side they really liked the 15 year old Impreza!

wouldn't buy either, too slow, probably better waiting for an uprated version with at least 50bhp more. see latest evo mag.

That interior is awful! IMO better off overall with a used 350 or 370z.

First impressions, the only thing I dont like are the Alloys, they look cheap, the rest is a big leap forward style wise. Like others my big fear is lack of power, my mildly modded Hawk has 200bhp at the wheels. Its a lighter car and only driving the rears so who knows, I've not seen the Evo article yet that must be in the June? issue.

We loved the styling , amazing low centre of gravity , should be very chuckable in the twisties , and a head turner in the blue colour.
negatives,,,, four of vvti units , no drive to the front wheels and this would change the dynamics of the car if modded on. and still the irritating framless front windows.
our choice full manual , lightweight , with keys version in blue or black. if cash allows.

Dire interior, horrible wheels, cheap looking wing vents, terrible back end styling.
In summary....dogs dinner

BRZ looks a little more 'planted' than the '86, although that could be more down to the driver than the car.

Evo mag don't like the BRZ at all. Performs really poorly in their track test.
Hope this is not a big opportunity missed.
