I personally enjoy the diversity of folks on here and the variety of topics covered.

Not sure how I ended up in this thread though as us "long standing members" dont normally grace threads started by people who only joined in 2004 pffff

Now that's fight'in talk!

Generally, I do still enjoy this site and log on most days.

But some users are just starting to ruin the site. You know who you are.
I can handle Porsche owners, although a strange breed, most have worked hard and deserve their 'sports' car.

But certain 'types' of poster just do so to satisfy their need to bull**** about how good they are. Who, in all honesty, gives a ****e on an internet forum? If they were as good as they say they are, they would be out trying to press their views on their own self worth, onto other poor souls. Not sitting at their keyboard in their pants proclaiming to be God.

May be I was just bored and felt like 'poking the lion with a stick'.

But, this is the internet and I suppose we are stuck with such folk.

It's a good thing that this site still has members with some integrity.

I had a burger from one of those snack vans Friday, and i need another. It was a double cheese burger, topped off with rashers of crispy bacon and brown sauce, and cheese just melted over the bacon mmmm.the Bun was the size of a fooking dinner plate,it was HUGE.As i got near the end of it,i felt like i was on an episode of Man v Food, that last little bit of burger was so hard to eat,but i had to eat it,it was so yummy ARRR NOM NOM NOM.
Sorry to hijack the thread, but i had to tell you all about it,and muppets seemed ideal

To be honest we'd all probably own Porsches if we had the money.

You have a valid point.

Only the venerable 911 and Boxster look 'right'.

I'd have a 911 GT3 RS (in white) in a heartbeat though.....

There are some fabulous people on Scoobynet, both their internet personas and real life (although not the same people). It is a rich seam of information and interest, great to learn from, be entertained by and contribute to.

I like the 911, Gayman and Boxter but the rest are just 100% wrong like the Cayenne which is a toerag with a Porsche badge on it.

Anyone else hear about the Cayman recall?

I can't see the point of putting that motor in a car with such a high center of gravity but yes it is pretty mad.

Agreed.

You would by it as a toy (if you had surplus cash burning a hole in your Saville Row tailored trousers). Not purchased as a serious tool.

IMO.

I like that

Doesn't matter about the worldly materials, but I do like people to possess a damn good sense of humour, congruence, mutual respect, some common sense if not rich intellect, humanity, ability to face up to a challenge and enjoy it etc. I don't care if they sit with no food and no clothes on; on the top of the Himalayas.

Actually, cut all that^ demanding cr@p. I like people to be themselves. That will do.

On the subject, some people may talk materials here, but I can't see why some have to get their goat bleating over that unless they suffer from a poor person complex. As long as a rich muppet isn't out to get or belittle the poor muppet, what is the problem? Rich has as much right to discuss his/her wealth as a poor one has to discuss his burnt pots, pans and chipped mugs. If the poor just feels belittled without being bullied or ridiculed by the rich, than the por has or is a problem, not the rich. By objecting upon the innocent rich's cyber contents, poor muppets only show their own unfulfilled desire to possess what their rival rich muppets possess. We all have different priorities. Your gold is my dust. My book is your fire lighter. So what. I'd live and let live.

I know some here (or everywhere TBH) have "mine is bigger than yours" syndrome on different types of possessions (may they be personal qualities), and they do make a show of it. Why shouldn't they? Just because others feel threatened by that?? Imean, if you have something to show, feel free to/ not to show it. If not, don't bullsh!t. Ok, when some go well OTT with their "look at my this-and-that", it can become very irritating to some. In such case, take no notice. Hence back to the motto- "Live and let live." Simple.

BTW, I love Porche. Its a ravishing piece of kit.

On the subject of Porsches i'd love a 911 GT3 RS, don't like the rest.

If money was no object then it'd be RA-R.
