As a matter of interest, can anyone define a "muppet"?

Sorry JT but I must say that Hodgy comes across as one of the most well balanced individuals on this forum. Just because somebody is 'privileged' in some regards does not mean they can't still question the system that may well have helped them achieve that privilege.

You have (along with TDW) gone on and on relentlessly about certain topics that relate to race/religion. I'm not surprised that in the end you were branded a 'racist'

I have not followed your posts with much interest tbh so don't ask me to back up that label because I won't/can't be bothered. But I'm just not surprised that somebody called you that.

Hodgy's thread referred to both you and TDW btw, and I can say with certainty that TDW has made overtly racist remarks. The odd racist remark doesn't even bother me, we all make them sometimes, I'm sure I do. It's the unrelenting nature of race/religion as a theme in some people's threads/posts that just gets too much sometimes. It gives the impression that the individual is consumed by these thoughts and frankly unhinged.

Lol @ unhinged. I think it was probably me that first mentioned Hodgy in this discussion when I probably shouldn't have. Talking about someone when I could be talking to them is not on and isn't something I intend to do again. Nevertheless, it was meant in good humour.

Sorry to say that SN is not full of muppets but full of ***** who take great pleasure in lording it over the less fortunate who actually have to work for what they have instead of sitting behind a desk pushing a pen about shouting "YOUR FIRED"

Why anyone with a jumped up Volkswagon Beetle feels the need to be a member of a Subaru forum is beyond me, and then plaster the site with photo's of said Volkswagon Beetle in front of there mansion is just ***** waving of epic proportion.

I dont need to brag about how big my **** is or how much money I have or that I have more than 1 property unmortgaged or how many holidays I take a year or exactly what drugs I sell to achieve what I have.

Get a ****ing life and go bore someone else who really cares about how big your bank balance is, or which Volkswagon your now driving, somewhere like the girls off the only way is Essex as this is a Subaru forum FFS

SN has gone downhill and is just a glorified advertising board with adverts on every post its ridiculous

The fact that this topic has now turned into a debate about which members are racist or not and the bull**** that some people are coming out with just shows the mentality of some of the members of SN and just how self absorbed they are.

Site should be renamed 'Keyboard Warriors Net'

This post is absolutely hilarious. It is also one of the most arrogant self-absorbed posts I have had the pleasure of enjoying on Scoobynet.

As a number of people on here have made crystal clear, there is no doubt I am one of, if not THE, key targets of this thread and in a number of other posts.

Let's lay out some facts...

I have been a member of this BBS since there were only 300 members in total - so if anyone has a right to be here then I would stake that as a pretty good claim.

I have also owned two Subarus - last year I sponsored a Subaru race car. Sounds pretty SUBARU to me. As a founding member I was also one of the very first to invest the time and money to build a 500bhp Subaru, something which is now commonplace - in 2001 it was really groundbreaking.

As for working for a living. Don't make me fecking laugh you jumped up idiot. I have built my own business up from nothing. Six years ago I had nothing but a mortgage and a pregnant wife. Everything I have I had worked for myself. I have inherited nothing. I have borrowed nothing, I have been given nothing.

As for the class warriors, my mother was a 16 year girl from one of the roughest estates in Middlesborough. Father, no idea. Really fecking bourgeois, eh, Tony?

Scoobynet has gone downhill - really bloody funny from a member here since 2009.

Done. Out.

PS As for owning a Porsche, not just any old Porsche but one of the finest ever made. I love it. I earned it myself and being a car forum I thought (rightly in many cases) people might want to share my joy of owing such a car. Indeed a number of people from here have been in it and some have driven it.

If you don't like it then take a look in the mirror and wonder what it is that makes you feel like a lesser person because someone else happens to enjoy owning a Porsche.

thank you Ding

I was having a drink with a very old school friend of mine the other day, he is called Asim and his parents came over from Kenya in the late 50’s / early 60’s (we travelled India together for 6 months in 1984)

His father worked for London Transport as a ticket collector (not ticket inspector, a ticket collector) at Sheppard’s Bush underground station

He was a clever guy, and was able to apply that intelligence, drive and aspiration - and now is the senior partner in a firm of solicitors, employing 900 people (he has worked for them when the only had 40 employees) based in Manchester, they work with insurance co’s defending mendacious claims for whiplash etc

As we talked, we asked each other whether after 40 odd years, his success and ability to achieve what he has now (his two children go to Cheadle Hulme school so I suspect life won’t be as hard for them) is easier or harder for the sons of ticket collectors

I suspect they are harder – and i continually ask myself why

Interestingly, as you probably can guess he is a Muslim, back then I had no idea, as it never came up, was never relevant, (we drank, we smoked, we danced) how times change --- often for the worse

I think the offer you made me and Natalie when I was on a pittance and she heavily pregnant was testiment to your character David. I know it was a conversation via pm but felt it adequate to remind a few on here.

That's all I'll say on the matter, enjoy your wealth and cars, **** it

It seems like this thread is being used to attack one member in particular, a member who has been on this forum for years.

It's a real shame that some members feel offended or even outraged by the fact that another happens to own a high value vehicle. They are even more enraged by the fact that he posts pics of said vehicle outside his house that happens to look nicer than theirs.

Why not just wear a sign around your neck that says 'insecure'?
