Why not just wear a sign around your neck that says 'insecure'?

That does seem to be the theme Ding. They do say envy is a cruel mistress. If it's not envy (which no doubt we'll be told vociferously it isn't) then what is the source of all this bitterness and tension. Just because a bloke has done well and chooses to post on this board does not qualify him as a target for personal attacks. Infact I think some posters would be advised to go and have a ****, relieve some of that tension. Fortunately Trout has a thick enough skin to withstand this barrage. Trout I'd stick some more photos up as well as a middle finger really get them frothing at the mouth.

I have not met Trout personally but I really can't see why so many people on here have slated him.

If what he says is right about his background and I have no reason to doubt it, then good on him. No doubt he has worked bloody hard for what he has got and has every right to be proud of that.

I think some people need to have another look at what they posted and question how they'd like that thrown back at them if the tables were reveresed! Especially when they are so unfounded and based on ill-perceived rhetoric they 'deserve' or have more right to be here more than someone else.

If anything shows them up for who they really are, its in this thread.

Let's lay out some facts...

I have been a member of this BBS since there were only 300 members in total - so if anyone has a right to be here then I would stake that as a pretty good claim.

I have also owned two Subarus - last year I sponsored a Subaru race car. Sounds pretty SUBARU to me. As a founding member I was also one of the very first to invest the time and money to build a 500bhp Subaru, something which is now commonplace - in 2001 it was really groundbreaking.

As for working for a living. Don't make me fecking laugh you jumped up idiot. I have built my own business up from nothing. Six years ago I had nothing but a mortgage and a pregnant wife. Everything I have I had worked for myself. I have inherited nothing. I have borrowed nothing, I have been given nothing.

As for the class warriors, my mother was a 16 year girl from one of the roughest estates in Middlesborough. Father, no idea. Really fecking bourgeois, eh, Tony?

Scoobynet has gone downhill - really bloody funny from a member here since 2009.

Whatever conflicts are going on here, let's not drive a decent bloke out of SN. It seems harmless enough when you're not on the receiving end, but imagine having a thread made about you where people basically try to pick out one fault and make it into a bigger deal than it actually is. We all have a different outlook on life, and there's no saying that 1 in particular is any better than another in anything but an individual opinion.

Let's not pretend we can get the measure of someone from some posts they make on a forum.

SN has gone downhill and is just a glorified advertising board with adverts on every post its ridiculous

You're cool, Trouty. I did accuse you of sophistry the other day, but then you were defending banks and that can only be done by sophists. Other than that, nice Porsche.

Another day at scoobynet towers

another pop at another member, thinly veiled as a discussion topic.

Cant see what all the fuss is about, its a forum of people ffs, not all are going to see eye to eye, or get along, that's life peeps

I think i've had a dig at most of the posters in this thread, at some time and they too at me. Do i take it personally? no , Should I? thats debatable, if i did then i certainly wouldnt fanny about with a thread whinging about it, it would be a straight to the point reply

At the end if the day, if you dont like somone that much, use the ignore function,

Makes the three posts a day i can see, so much easier to get through
As for Trout..

He has a Porsche, Whats wrong with that?

He likes fishing, deffo nowt wrong with that,

His taste in hi-fi is questionable, but then who's isnt

He speaks his mind, (who dosent, although he makes more sense than me )

It's very simple: Having an opinion on someone (or anything for that matter) is a bit like having a ****.

It's good to have one

But please don't ram it down our throats!

As far as I can work out the purpose of this thread is for some people to do exactly that. If you find someone objectionable, ignore them -seeking to single them out to belittle them is not in the community interest and, frankly, just a wee bit immature! If, in your estimation, the community is predominantly composed of individuals you find objectionable, then quit wasting your time on here and just find somewhere else with a demographic more to your liking!

People have had a chance to let off steam, some are lucky to have escaped infraction for being nasty to other members and all that can be achived by leaving it open is to instigate new conflict or perpetuate existing ones!

Thread closed.

PS This is for DCi
