Escort Cosworth???

However..... nothing will ever make me forget or has been bettered since, the feeling I had when I picked up my first Escort Cossie in 1998, driving it back down the M6. It was unbelievable as I had wanted an Escort Cossie since they came out in 92...... I felt like a lottery winner and I suspect all the people staring down the M6 thought the same!!!

I own an '86 XR4x4 Sierra, I love it to bits, but acknowledge that it drives and feels exactly like what it is, an old car
I've also driven a couple of Escort Cosworths and apart from the rougher engine and massive lag, they don't feel any different

Really starting to show their age now but still look great in my opinion.
Would I buy one? No, I don't think I would. If I was going to scratch the Cossie itch I think I would have to go for a Sapphire Cosworth.

Buying a sierra Cossie is full of even more pitfalls, especially as they stopped making sierras in 1993.
I've driven a few cossies, escort & sierra - both feel long in the tooth now. I can't say the same about my 21 year old porka 122k on the clock & tighter than a nuns chuff. I guess a lot of I is down to the German engineering.

my old beast, like you i always said i wanted one so when it came up for grabs i jumped at it.
i had a 2wd saph cos at the time which i loved but sold it just after buying the escos.
7k miles from new and a brand new ghrame goode racing 9.5k engine fitted.
had receipts for over 100k that had been spent on it!!
and that was the reason i sold it i couldn't use it!! fear of mileage creeping up, fear of it being damaged, fear of it being nicked it had to go!!
6 page feature in Performance Ford and she was sold on.
the misses has a 2006 hawkeye sti ppp with a finch motorsport forged engine and i must admit it's an awesome car, but you just don't get the looks in it that i did in the escos
save your money and buy a 2wd saph cos and have some fun!!!
