Total Scammer

I fell for the White Van Speaker scam when younger, only bough them as my brother had said he needed some studio monitors, I though I was doing him a favour but the speakers were £50 worth and I gave £200 I could ill afford, I felt such a pillock, got such stick off the missus but guess what I tracked them down and got my money back as they were a legit business using some dodgy selling practices so the same two the scammed me came to the door and sheepishly handed over my £200 and I gave them back the speakers.
I learnt a valuable lesson that day and now I am very cynical.
I keep having some pillock ringing me about investing in fine wines, the brochure looks compelling, it outperforms the major stock indices and isnt subject to CGT but it has a whiff of scam all over it, sometimes my cynicism may potentially make it so I miss out but I will take that over feeling the way I felt when I bought those speakers, wasnt so much the £200 it was looking such a gullible dick.
Had someone on about coloured gemstones as well, and a couple of yearsago "Harlequin Properties" selling the Buccament Bay resort as an investment, which does actually seem to have been built now.
Difficult to temper being cautious with never doing anything, I know someone so paranoid about being ripped off them panic at every financial transaction.
Still, the OP's cousin must feel pretty bad, my sympathies, three grand is a lot of money but its the fact you got duped and are largely unable to do anything about it, this is the kind of thing that can drive people to do stupid things, would love to see the con artish caught, hung, drawn and quartered.

Hi J4CKO
Thanks for that i sent nick a link to this tonight he won't be the first or the last to fall for this type of scam. I kinda felt bad sending him a link as there has been a lot of **** taking but then you get a few genuine people. We definitely have rattled this guys cage so to me its worth it.

Surely if you have the bank details (Uk it seems as Walthamstow) the police can seize the funds or freeze them at least with the bank? Or is it already gone from there?
