You lot are such doubters, honestly, he's no mechanic, has nothing to prove it, but its really fast. See that's the clincher, really fast=385bhp. Oh and it has an invisible FMIC too.

hi im interested in viewing the car but before i make the journey can you answer a few questions.
what mods are on the car to achieve 385bhp, as this requires a new turbo etc and remapping can you tell me who remapped it and what the turbo and other supporting mods are?
also as you know its 385bhp do you have the rolling road print out?
sorry for the questions but ebay is full of made up power figures on imprezas and i dont want to waste my time viewing if its not as advertised, im fed up of getting silly answers like im not a mechanic etc..
thanks

I think he will struggle to sell this if his replies are all the same!
Bargain if it has been properly sorted.. .May be worth someone who is local to him popping over and checking out what must be a mountain of receipts.
Me - Hello mate..
What modifications have been done to take it up to 380+bhp?
Who remapped it?
Have you got the printout to prove?
His response -
all done before I bought it, I do have many receipts, but I'm not that up on mechanics, it drives well and is really fast, jeff

Wtf someone will get burnt here!
TX.
TX.
Had a bit of communication with the seller:
Me to jeffshillito2009:
Hi, Please can you tell me a little more about the modifications? Also who mapped the car? Is the gearbox and engine standard? What turbo are you running to get 385bhp? Also, do you have receipts for the mods and a rolling road graph to prove the power please? If so, could be interested. Many thanks. Brian
jeffshillito2009 to me:
I've got loads of receipts but all the modifications done before I bought it, original gearbox, but I am not that up on mechanics, jeff
Me to jeffshillito2009:
Hi mate, Thanks for the reply. Am really hoping you have some receipts for the engine mods the car must have? 385bhp is not normally possible on a Subaru without some supporting mods so was hoping you have evidence of an engine rebuild showing forged pistons, forged rods, decent gaskets etc to support the power.? Also, if your running a standard 5 speed gearbox then this could also be on borrowed time as these can easily fail well under 300bhp. Do you have details who mapped the car? And possibly a rolling road print to prove the power? If so this would be great. Thanks again, car looks great by the way! Brian
jeffshillito2009 to me:
come have a look, I bought it is a spare car and not to up on the mechanic side, jeff
Me to jeffshillito2009:
Hi again, Thats kinda why i'm asking these questions really. Would like to make sure the car is what it says it is before I make the journey. If I do make the journey it will be to test drive and buy! Can't tell if the engine has uprated internals by looking when I visit so will need some paperwork to prove this if available? Also, do you have any info on the turbo fitted to achieve 385bhp? Many thanks. Brian
jeffshillito2009 to me:
where do you live, could drive to you its good fun drive in it, jeff
Me to jeffshillito2009:
Lol. How would you get home if I bought the car when you were at mine? No offense meant to you mate, but I personally wouldn't even look at a car until I could see some form of receipts or proof. Your car stands out from the croud because you have advertised it as 385bhp. But, you have not actually told me yet that you have evidence of the actual power its making, or the spec. So for all I know it could be a totally standard 200bhp subaru. If that's the case i'd rather not waste both our times and have you drive to mine. If the car is actually what you say it is, then it sounds like a top car. Thanks, Brian
jeffshillito2009 to me:
the car was a trade in against an r32 at my mates garage , I bought it because I loved it, I am not a mechanic but my mate is , so I thought why not buy, if it doesn't suit you don't buy it, no offence either, jeff
Me to jeffshillito2009:
Completely understand mate. No problems. Think on this occasion I will give it a miss. Am always too careful when buying cars. lol. Sure at that price someone will snap it up regardless of the actual spec of the car and regardless if you have proof of power or not. Just be careful there is no come back on you if your advertising it as 385bhp with no idea if it actually is or not. Thanks for the info, sorry if I have messed you around. Good luck with the sale. Brian

It's worrying. Through all my questions and pushing of the seller I didn't get a single answer. Have you noticed his eBay feedback is 0% from 17 deals in total.?
Very dodgy. Some mug will buy it thinking he has a 385bhp monster! The mug selling it did! And as we constantly see there are loads of complete planks buying scoobys now!

A Z4 ECU? Im a dullard when it comes to ECUs, so please correct me if a Z4 is a BMW and somehow he's got a Z4 ecu fitted.... the ads spelling is atrocious.

No reply to my question either. It really pisses me off when people do this sort of thing, some unsuspecting chap is going to buy a mediocre scooby with a supposed 385hp when in reality its probably got 220 hp at the most, on a good day.

Looks like he sold it at 9pm yesterday (presumably outside of eBay).... But he clearly doesn't know how to - or can't be arsed - to properly terminate the advert.
Ha. I like the way he put "...Sorry", as if to 'apologise' to those people that missed out on such a bargain of a great example!
If it is sold, I feel for the new owner.... But who knows, all the goodies could well be under the bonnet, FMIC, etc...
