Does anyone know if the sub races are being shown on Sky for the Melbourne GP ? Wouldn't mind watching a couple of them.

A bit of a long shot I know.

I've been watching the hooky stream **** YOU MURDOCH YOU ****!!!

Sky's coverage is so bad its laughable. brundle sounds somewhat uncomfortable with his new sidekick, perhaps he's unhappy at being relegated to technical commentator again. Regardless, I much preferred him and DC.

Surprise surprise, they have a dumb bitch with big **** who is totally clueless about the sport and has been brought in as eye candy. The only plus about that is she's been teamed up with Ted 'yes I'm down at the mclaren garage martin' Kravitz The look of utter bewilderment on her face as Ted explained what rear diffusers do was a picture. I might place a but as to how long Ted can put up with her before he goes bezerk and caves her little pointy head in live on camera

The racing itself was quite exciting, I usually enjoy qualifying, but the coverage sky is providing is ****. I will continue to relieve Mr. Murdoch of money by watching the stream and refusing to pay, but it will be a relief when the BBC coverage comes on again. When it does, I will amuse myself by texting the presenters non stop and trying to goad them into blazing the sky coverage.

"The rest of the grid may be looking for a nose-job" - Quality comment.
Coverage is better than BBC IMO and should improve with time.
I agree we don't need the cow with the big baps though, she just looks ridiculous - maybe an Audrey Tautou type would be better?

A good start i reckon.

OK, a complete lack of chemistry in the paddock with Lazenby, Hill and Brundle compared to EJ, DC and Jake Humphrey but i think that will improve.

I was a bit dissapointed i suppose to hear Croft and Brundle commentating for qualifying (and i presume the race) as Croft and Davidson were great together on Radio 5 and continued that over P1,P2 and P3.

I thought the 'big telly' was going to be a gimmick but Davidson was very good on it and i don't mind looking at busty blonde every now and again. Motor racing needs a bint factor, it's a glamourous sport don't you know.

Coverage was pretty good IMO, commentary was a bit dull though, DC and EJ will be hard acts to follow especially EJ as I doubt anyone else will have the ***** to ask some of the questions he did! if only they had made the move over to Sky too.

Agreed. The BBC 2011 coverage was probably as good as it was ever going to get. You need EJ for the amusement and the cringe factor. Damon Hill is a nice guy but a bit wishy washy IMO.

Crofty and Brundle work alright IMO. Early days for them and Crofty will put in the odd comment that appeals (anyone remember his Leeroy Jenkins comment about Kobayashi?)

The Sky Pad thing I can throw away really and put Davidson in Hill's spot. Not that interested in the anchor dude. Jake was much better - and to be fair Jake didn't really know that much about F1 when he started.

Don't care much for the blonde. Just some token gesture and a bit of skirt. Kind of amusing she's covering a motoring related show having been done for drink driving.

That's why half the female presenters on TV have their jobs, it is especially bad with Sky.

How many ugly female presenters are there? Not many, most are on BBC or Al Jazzera where they have fat and ugly weather girls for political-correctness.

The qualifying itself was the highlight. Enjoyed Crofty's commentary but not bothered about the blonde bint. I'd rather smash McKenzie's back doors in, at least she knows about motorsport.

Still glad I'm not paying Murdoch for the privilege.

Suzie Perry is the only women who seems to suit motorsport, but she is getting old now...I'd still go there though.

I am impressed so far with the coverage from Sky, good to see all the practise runs etc. I think the race commentary is good, the bloke knows what he is talking about. Brundle and Hill work well together with all their knowledge and experience. Ted Gravitz is doing his part as well as he usually does.

The HD quality is better than the BBC HD and they dont overdo it with the adverts which are sensibly placed anyway.

So far I can see nothing to complain about, there will of course be those who will moan unfairly, It is early times of course so I think it is only fair to give it time so see how it works out.

Worth remembering that the situation as it is can only be blamed on the BBC anyway!

Quite impressed so far with the Sky coverage.

I wanted to stay with the BBC but I think Sky are doing an excellent job. During the qualifying it was easy to forget you weren't watching the BBC coverage as apart from the swap of Coulthard to Croft there isn't a lot of difference.

I liked the Humphrey, Jordan and Coulthard mix but I'm sure I'll get used to the Sky crowd. Will wait to see a live race covered by the BBC and make a proper comparison then.

The Sky sports App on my iPad adds another dimension too. Driver tracker, different camera angles and full live data feed are available.

I want to fancy Georgie... but, ultimately, just can't.

'She' is surely a man, no?! And a bit of munchkin at that - she's very short.... with even more disproportionately short limbs LOL

Pinkham on the other hand................

Suzie Perry is simply lovely.

It would be cool to see her on F1 but I wouldn't want her to be just eye candy and doubt she would put up with it.

Anyone noticed the girls that give the interviews in the after race chat thingy pit box area. Some of them look tidy.

Also, the wall of clapping clunge up to the podium is always worth a rewind

I thought the adverts were a bit much in the practice session programs.

The endless re-runs of old and new VT clips are annoying. Its hard to tell when to stop winding forwards.

Brundle is still ok. Hill seems ok, but he was on the verge of being a prat once (at the end of quali IIRC) so he could go either way.

Georgie - I would give her one, but I've no idea why Maybe she'd be well dirty

Great first race though

btw - if Ferrari don't sack Massa before end of season, they deserve everything they (don't) get

Yes you are quite right, it is Humphrey. I don't know why I always thought of him as Thackery!

I still enjoyed his bit yesterday on the BBC Highlight programme.

BBC still best; the presenting style is so much more relaxed... and just, well, cooler. Love Ben Edwards' commentary - he gets really into it.

Mind, Crofty on Sky is also knowledgeable and his enthusiasm is infectious, without being annoying.
