Ah, a Rockdoor. I have one too. Doesn't work out that much more expensive than a regular door. I have two locks on it too, not something you'll see on any other PVC/composite door.

Sorry to hear about the break in mate.
I hate burglars my area is full of the scumbags.
Because I work offshore and abroad my wife and young son
Are at home alone so I gave Adt a call and got a alarm system from them
For my home.

Give Adt a call mate I think I paid £100 upfront and £25 a month
And I got a alarm and 24 hour cover so if we are not in the house
And the alarm goes off Adt phones either me or my wife.

Also best invest in a baseball bat aswell just Incase.

Always invest in a good alarm system and set it at nights before you go to bed
Not sure if you have a dog wandering about though
I have security lights all round and cemereas and the garaged is alarmed too
5 years ago and I had my koi stolen from the pond
We had 7 police there as it was such an unusual crime
We thought they would come back for the rest so the police set up a mini sensor in our driveway for a couple of weeks but they never come back I now have trip wore up round the pond
The police told me they look on google earth to identify houses and access through gardens now to plan their escape

I would not consider moving house to the OP just beef up security with alarm and keep you car keys in the bedroom

We lock our bedroom door at nights as addional security
We live in a safe area in the country but burgers travel from the city to target people on rural areas

Pointless in my opinion as they could just smash a window instead.

sorry to hear mate. feel for u
my mates got burgled, they threw a large brick on to the conservarty window and fell through, had alarm good one aswell that rings ur phone and mine to let u know alarm is going, got there in 15 mins and they had gone, playstation, lcd tv gone along with few little bits.
they dont care if they want to burgle u they will and not manny people pay attention to alarms going off.
on the otherhand i have a rottweiller and a baseball bat in bedroom waiting for the day to show them uve got the wrong house lol.
bloody smackheads/crackheads are the main culprits

problem with the alarms that phone you is , you still get robbed . You just find out sooner. Lets face it , if you are being robbed you are probably better off as far away from them as possible , otherwise you may get a beating aswell .

Infact , even alarms are useless as most people just ignore them these days. Security is the main thing i think , make it as hard as you can for the ******* to get in , alarms only do any use AFTER they get in.

Windows are equally as strong, and internally glazed.

Joey - Not sure if it's a rockdoor, the frame around it is very small, the door takes up most of the space and has massive hinges. It looks the same so could very well be it was the top one they were selling.
