The whole insurance/PI system stinks to high heaven... its ALL about everyone getting a bung at some point in the chain..... the gov have no excuse, it should be stopped straight away... I know they have tried with the current change in the law, and that's only after one MP kicked up a fuss, but its still not going to fix the problem ,just reduce it a bit... its criminal really...

The whole thing is full of parasites, the claims scumbags making seven grand for someone getting a 2 grand payout and all the grabbing with the punters going on, does take a lot for someone to turn down that couple of grand on principle in the current climate, the claims companies need to be taken to task, along with the gangs going round causing accidents to get the payments, invariably the claims companies in certain areas are the ones causing the accidents, where crime and the legal industry meet, the whole thing makes the legal profession a bit of an embarrassment, look at the cars outside some of these claims companies...
I think my eldest will have to wait for a car, three or four grand to insure a car to do a couple of thousand a year, sixth form will be walking distance, cant see the point, add up the costs, may as well take taxis all year, would probably work out cheaper.

Back when I was at college, a kid I was at school with took his test the same day as me, he passed I failed. I jokingly asked "when do you write you car off". He saw me the following day and said 9 hours after we spoke!
