Sad to say, but I really think it's time for me to leave the forum.

Not much i can say that hasn't been said before really.
I'll remember 2003-2005 especially with a lot of affection. Those were the days when i used to sit on the train thinking of new ideas for threads, ways of taking existing threads in different directions, all sorts of creative stuff. Then, as has been said, SdB just crushed Muppets. Sorry Simon, but you did. Perhaps with the advent of Facebook, Twitter etc it was inevitable. Communities such as Scoobynet have been diluted beyond recognition, people go their separate ways. I can't blame anyone for leaving this place, it's a shadow of its former self. But it holds lasting memories for me, as well as many others, so it wasn't all in vain!
Now, how many till 80k...?

You've been a member for 12 years!
Jesus!
It most likely is harder for folks who have seen the rise and fall of this place.
I remember when the site could not cope with the action, and when replies were posted so fast that they would become out of context!
Been in 3 times in 2 days, and I'm already fedup of the place!
Maybe the BRZ will help a bit, or some other car.
The recession has not helped at all.
I'm outta here!

Not sure i see the point in making a big deal about leaving, if you don't feel like having anything more to do with the site then don't, no need to create an" i'm leaving thread", and if as said previously, you then decide to post at a later date then it just makes you look a tit,or should i say moob
Please don't go,
Don't go,
Don't walk away,
nah **** that.
P1ss off then.
Edit to say, i was infracted once

I love the way announcing your departure has stimulated postings in NSR, mainly yours
Only joking, dont know why anyone has to leave or stop, it kind of makes a big deal out of nothing and it makes it more difficult to post in the future as people will again make a big deal out of it. Its like saying you are a vegatarian, then people get on your case when you have a crafty burger.
And 60k posts, going cold turkey, that will be difficult, I may post a really interesting series of threads soon and you will be precluding yourself fromt he witty banter, pithy comment and general bollocks.
If you want to feel the love for a while, I am happy to lend you my username and password for an hour or two

I'm no master of wit, but I didn't leave, I just grew bored somehow...
My car is sat in the drive waiting for an MOT, I simply haven't had time to sort one out ! I will eventually get a day off work on March 25th !
dunx
P.S. If I remember, I come and have a look once or twice a week. And Bubbs stay well and prosper.

what a crock of ****e!
bubba... YOUR humour gave up. nothing more..you grew old in the head, stale if you will... but dont blame a forum for that. they evolve, its what they do.
Hectic sends his regards, even though you were very much chalk and cheese.
As for this place in general.. yeah.. is dead. (like a lot of places really) .

Best thread on here since i became a member must be the Buttzlaff thread, classic and bloody funny.Even since that time it has dropped on here, but each to their own, either leave for good and mean it,or just pop back now and then.

The wasp nest thread (or was it moles?? ) was bleeding' hilarious!

To be honest, having thought about this I think Bubba has a point, I spend too much time on car websites and neglect other things, so I think I am going to leave,
To make a brew, back in 5 mins.

This is just the introduction to his departure. It's when he makes the thread, 'I really, really, REALLY think it's time for me to leave the forum', that you should start to be concerned.

Ok, to be fair - I think this one has run its course now. Those that wanted to say cheerio have had their chance and those who want to say "don't let the door hit you on the way out" have also had their chance. Let's put this matter to bed and let Bubba move on!
