I've been to the ring a couple of times.

Went last year in my 306 gti-6 and this year im going in my scooby. Its good fun. Expensive if you want to do lots of laps and being 13miles a lap can drink fuel..

 

I have done 250 + laps at The Ring
It is a very addictive place.
Also it can be very dangerous , we've seen 3 fatalaties (admittely all bikers) and many write offs.
I still go very steady for my first few laps , you forget how hard it is flat out.
Pinnochios very good value for money , there are a couple of good english run bars in Nurburg itself , the Official ring village is VERY expensive.
Pistenklausse a must for last night , you may even run into sabine! (its her mums place)
Make sure you trawl through the list of photographers that I have posted below , you are bound to find a picture of yourself in action.

To reiterate the scary side , we came up on this write off that took 400 yards start to finish , it closed the track for 2 hours , the guy was uninjured but would have got a big bill from the circuit (the record is plus £16.000)
