That's not what I've been told I know you can't swap standard ECU's around ie: import in to uk models due to different standard maps!

The ecu was taken from a V5 sti and fitted to a uk car so andy f could check the licence without any issues.

[QUOTE=JAckyWhite;10638057]"The ecu was taken from a V5 sti and fitted to a uk car so andy f could check the licence without any issues."

If I can pick up on this. .

So was the v5 sti a UK car?
What was the car it was fitted to?
This Andy F (is he the one that goes through NESF (I'm down the road in durham.)..?), he confirmed the ecu has an ecuTek licence..?

Is there any other details about the ecu and its history that I can check to see that it will definitely work in my Foz..?

Apologies for the qaestions..

Steven[/QUOT

All v5 sti are imports from japan. They did not make a v5 sti mate

maybe i am being stupid but i just don't see the point of buying this for £165, an ecutek license is £150 so surely if i bought this off you for £165 all i have achieved is having my standard ecu spare for £15, i still need to get it remapped

The last time I had Andy do a remap on my car the price with the licence was £575.00

Andy has obviously reduced his prices for remapping

It's now £450.00 for a custom map

And to remap this ECU with a different mappers base map it is £280.00

I wasn't aware of the price reductions! so I'll have to adjust my price.

£100 is a good price, as I paid £140 delivered and paid Bob Rawle £280 for a custom map (previous owner had Bobs license on it), so £420 all in for a custom map
