Splitpin was 2nd to none on MY99/00 cars as well as having good knowledge on other model years. Bob Rawle Cannot be beaten for good sound honest advice imho & has always answered every email/text I have sent him. ,even though he is normally busy 95% of the time.

Glad to know my time here was not completely wasted
I'll agree with pretty much all the names listed above. I had enough of scoobynet shortly after joining several years ago because of the bitching and witch-hunting like the Datuck thread. I stumbled across it again when considering selling up and enjoyed some 5am multi-page threads on the project section and saw a different scoobynet, full of helpful people rather than "Oh my god he didn't know this!" This inspired me to not sell up and instead start my own project.
Everyone has different levels of knowledge, some use it as a stick to beat others with but thankfully there isn't many of them.
First thing we should do as a community though is persuade Banny to come back and update his project thread .
from a lad that had not much mechanical knowledge , i do believe "here" is the most helpful source of information about the fold . whether grazing through threads , admiring builds , or looking information . most, if not all the above names and im sure there are a good few more, have been more than helpful to myself and countless others , so would just like to take this oppertinuity to say
I have to say snet is great for advice and info, all the names that have been mentioned have helped me with one thing or another Over the last couple of years. I must thank you all for the help and advice thats been given and can now say I know a hell of a lot more now because of snet than I did when I bought my car.
