Skull candy are terrible, I have some in ear skull candy phones and they are rubbish I have some £10 Sony ones that wipe the floor with them for quality and comfort.

Mate, the best thing to do is borrow a maters or go into HMV, they have them on display where you can listen to them for yourself and make your own mind up!

Dres are **** end of, im a headphune guru and tested loads, reviews are kak, they sound kak too dull ment for hiphop, they are in essance a fashion item with very average hardware.
If you want over the ear look at
Shure 840s now cheap cos the new 940 is out
Beye dynamics 770pro or 880
Grados

If you want in ear then it gets harder
Beyerdynamics 101s at 69 quid are good
Sony mx500s as well as creative aurvana 3s
If you pump up the price you can start looking at klipse or shure 3xx upwards or the very good seinhessier 8i
