I guess I'm missing a joke here but my HD does that too.

I use Juice Defender and that switches stuff on and off.

It's when you say things like that that I find believing anything you say difficult.

You will never see Jack admit an apple device has a fault...

The one advantage to the android over the iphone battery life is that you can add a double capacity battery in a few seconds, and you dont have to wear a tethered fannypack or perform micro surgery on the phone to do it.

Why, because it's true and it dares to criticise your beloved Apple? It's one of the many reasons I got rid of the phone, that and the fact that the home button pretty much stopped working after 20 months, it kept crashing during phone calls rendering it pretty useless as a phone, and Apple support was terrible (don't get me started about my wasted "Genius" trip to the Apple shop - if ever there were staff further away from the definition of genius, they were it). Was not a good phone and I'm very glad to have moved away to something more reliable

No Ian, it's because I have a lot of people around me that don't have the problems you have. These are real people not forum posts. Plus of course I have owned every iPhone since US release and haven't had your issues. I also haven't had 10 replacement XBoxes, you have issues with electronics.

So you are calling me a "not real person". Start throwing insults when you are losing an argument shows what sort of person you really are. You have just lost any minuscule bit of credibility that you may have once had and I shall be ignoring you henceforth

I'm not getting into an electronics ***** waving competition with you. Having owned almost every console ever made (and still have most of them), been building pcs for at least the last 25 years, and have have been writing software (initially as a hobby and then for a living) for the last 30, I do know a thing or two about computers and electronics.

The xbox 360 is the only piece of hardware (apart from the iPhone) I have ever had trouble with. Microsoft were very good at responding to the problems (which they admitted were their fault - 2 of the "repaired" consoles were actually delivered back to me already broken!) and my latest xbox has now lasted 3 years and is still going strong. I wish I could say the same about the terrible Apple support and customer service I have experienced. I might still be a customer then...

You think comparing forum posts with real people is an insult to you. That's not an insult, calling you a jumped up ****** with an Apple shaped chip on his shoulder is an insult.

Myself and Apple are pleased that you are no longer a customer, some people are just moaning ***** that are never happy. You sir are one of those people.

Or that there might be something out that that does one or more things better.

Only if the handset supports replaceable batteries - and to be fair, that is nothing to do with the OS.
