HTC One X

None removable battery does put me off a little, as I mess with custom ROMs, sometimes if I installed an unstable one, I have had to pull the battery to reset the phone. If I get a One X and mess with it, I can't do that. Removable storage used to bother me, but apart from swapping out the SD card that has come with my phones from the box, I've never actually taken it out so it doesn't matter any more. Main thing is the size, I thought my HD was big when I first got it, but now am used to it. Will have to have a look at one in a shop to get a feel for it.

This is the exact same approach that fanbois have taken in the past; deriding a feature/aspect until it's present in one of their own devices.

Exactly.
HTC should have gone big with things other than the screen, 32gig might sound like a lot but what's that huge screen good for, watching movies - well not good, but you know better than the iPhone - movies will fill that up in no time. What else is that big screen good for, eating batteries, that review stated 5 hours use, not great.

His point is that fandroids have used that as a reason to put down the iphone in the past - yet now a droid is doing the same it's considered absolutely fine.

Reading the reviews, I think the poor battery life would kill it for me. Who really needs quad core tech on a phone anyway?
HTC One S would be my choice.

Actually I saved myself £7 per month & only on a 18 month contract and I've still got my trusty 4GS to fall back to if needs be...
Having never owned an Android before I'm going to keep open minded. I want to give it a go because I would like to be able to write some JAVA stuff for it, Objective C on the iOS is too restrictive for my needs unfortunately.

It also stated...`After a day or two in which the phone was used heavily, but in a more usual manner, we were able to get a full day, or around 9 to 10 hours, of use before needing to charge. This is no better or worse than most of the new generation smartphones available today. ` You really should read everything before unsuccessfully trying to rubbish the iphone killer.

Are you a ground worker? I ask because I've never known a man dig himself a hole as quickly as you.

Here's a great video of the One X getting destroyed by a Fisher Price kiddy toy.

The only area it wins is start up, and as I never turn mine off that's irrelevant. You're going to need a few more processors before Android can compete with OSX.
