As usual crapple fans dance around with mis information when they aren't able to argue a single point about the qualities of a better phone. Harping on about about hobbies tariffs and the huge size, when without a doubt the next iPhone will be larger than the their tiny offering they have now. I can just hear them saying the new larger phone is just the right size whilst trying to justify that the 4s is perfect now

Here's a great video of the One X getting destroyed by a Fisher Price kiddy toy.

The only area it wins is start up, and as I never turn mine off that's irrelevant. You're going to need a few more processors before Android can compete with OSX.

Can you just help me out here, what exactly is better about your phone? We've already established that the screen is of a lesser quality, just bigger. That it has more processors but it's slower. That the battery life is less. What is better about it?
If bigger numbers make things better then yes, you have a winner, no doubt that's what turns you on as you proudly boast the results of a dyno day on your profile.
Jon, picky, picky.

Hardly fair comparing it to a fully charged iPhone is it?

I'm sure you would be stamping your feet if it was the other way around.

The HTC One X screen is equal in pixel density to the iPhone, but manages to do this on a much larger screen. Therefore it is better, the One X is rated 720p the iPhone screen isn't. The iPhone use an ips screen the One X a LCD2(this is actually using the same as ips technology but named differently for patent reasons). Fact the screen is superior.
The HTC One X uses quad core + 1 companion core for low priority functions. The HTC One X has already been proven to outperform the latest mobiles phones which are comparable to the iPhone. It is a much faster phone than anything else at this moment.
The battery capabilities are equal to the best smart phones when in usage and last upto 3 times longer in standby. The iPhone will last upto200 in standby the One X 755 hrs. You picking out someone's comment that the phone lasted only 5 hrs on a few charges doesn't constitute a representative example of battery life. My One X easily lasts all day and only loses a couple of percent when in standby for many hours. The battery is getting better with every charge.
Yes it is all about numbers and you trying to associate it with dyno bragging rights is an attempt by you to deflect from the facts.

I really couldn't give two hoots but come on Jack, even you must be able to see that the HTC shown in that vid has a very low battery. Power saver would have been active and therefore processing speed reduced.
Hardly fair comparing it to a fully charged iPhone is it?![Thumb](images/smilies/thumb.gif)

Don't base your argument on a comment on that video. What is this special version of Power Saver you speak of that slows the phone down? All see is a bit of screen dimming.
Andy, your phone does not have the pixel density of the iPhone, not even close. Please provide me with a reason why your phone is better.
Gearhead, have a read, all I'm doing is responding to "my phone's better than yours" should be a simple question to answer but fanboyism's latest recruit is struggling.

You soon changed your tune, so the iPhone has better pixel density. That's a 4% difference magnified by 26%, very noticeable. Thanks.

I'd say your post was trolling, mine is at least on topic. What are you contributing? I'm asking questions and occasionally getting answers. You're just insulting me, I'd insult back but still have a while left on my last infraction.

However, 'retina display was so named because of the imperceptible nature of pixels at the normal viewing distance of the 3.5" (is that right) screen.
So, as Apple have already shown it's acceptable to drop the PPI if you're increasing viewing distance (iPad 3) and still call it retina, the same scaling needs applying to the one x.
The iPad 3 has a 19% drop in PPI for a 177% increase in area: so you can add 9.3% in area for a 1% drop in PPI. One X adds 34% area which 'allows' a 3.6% drop in PPI. Actual drop is 4.3%, which means that even with the scaling it is not quite the same PPI. It is however much closer than has been originally suggested at 0.7% lower effective density.
This does need to be balanced against usability and resolution though - and it also means the Galaxy Nexus is nominally than either with a 33% larger screen (v iPhone) allowing 3.5% drop vs 3.1% actual. That is pentile though, which some consider cheating.
Ultimately, comparing PPI is clearly no longer relevant except for gaining the most microscopic 'advantage' in arguments.

And your post is soooo much more constructive.
I bet you an iPhone that the next time a thread is started about a mobile phone, that you can't resist posting your usual, repetitive drivel about the iPhone being better than the space shuttle.
Why can't you just let people discuss different tech without poking your nose in?
![Ponder2](images/smilies/ponder2.gif)
Genuine question.

Go back and read the first post. It might give you a clue as to why I joined the discussion. I've stayed in order to control the misinformation spread by your and your ilk.

The OP just expected you to post anyway. That is obvious.
Everybody knows your views by now. Can't you see that you are just not interesting any more. I enjoy banter, but this is not what you bring to the table. You can never have a light hearted conversation about anything. It always ends up with you stating that you are right and that everyone else is wrong. Even when people prefer a different product to Apple, you insist that they are wrong.![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
In your last post, you mention 'control'. Hmm, says a lot.
I think you have a bit of a God complex going on.

Anyways.... Went to the gadget show live yesterday with my dad and he upgraded to the one x at the O2 stand , they price matched a deal for £27.
I has the pleasure of transferring his blackberry contacts to the htc which I must say was painless and very easy!
That video jack posted I didn't notice the lighting fast boot up process when starting my dads phone.
The front camera is good on par with the 4S but looking on a bigger screen could help comparing.
The front camera ......well that's a different story. I wanted to try this face unlocking and the quality was woeful .
I have a feeling ics isn't designed for quad core phones as it wasn't all that snappy and responsive and as always android a chore to find my way round it like usual.
