lol - the thing I found with waving was that 10 years ago most scoobs were owned by enthusiasts, they were usually well driven by mature individuals who would attend meets and runs. This brought about a social aspect to ownership, as the scooby community as a whole were quite a friendly bunch.
As residual values dropped, the marque became affordable to 'boy racer' types, particularly classics and bugs. If you flash or wave to these owners you tend to get a slack-jawed, vacant stare back from them, the rumble of the flat four is drowned out by their 200 decibel sound system pumping out an ear splitting noise that they think is music.

It was always a tradition years ago to wave at someone with a similar car, if it was a bit out of the ordinary.
My Dad used to have a BSA three wheeler and those drivers always waved and if they were stopped they would have a chat or even a beer.
Most bikers give each other a nod of the head these days since we are all part of the "brotherhood"

It will be great to have you & Co. around here, Mark.
By the way, I will get into the other place, to see if those pics still hang on the walls there. Then I will PM them to you. Its now derelict there, so I should face no distractions during my mission.

I used to get waves in my old Impreza
Nothing in the Wife's B4 RSK (aside from the occasional wtf is that look) and absolutely zilch in the Fozzy XT ![Frown](images/smilies/frown.gif)
We should have an "any Scooby with an intercooler scoop" wave rather than just Imprezas.
