ive done this in the past if its not what they advertised it as origionally ,you have every right to take it back , upto 6 months actually, i had a customer come to me with a c-max it had swirls in the paint when he viewed it , they mopped it he picked it up and bought it to me , i stripped it and started again, end result was much improved but when you pay 10 grand for a car you want 10 grands worth, i advised he take it back, we as a company used to be contracted to said garage and knew how they and all garages work , he got a full refund, speak to to dealership principle and stop paying for it as you have good reasons that are obviously proven , if you havnt parted with any money cancell the finance and walk away from the agreement ,its the law ,ring tradin standards and dont take no for an answer, if you wanted a scrap car you would have gone a scrap yard to get one .
sorry checked today you have 28 days to return the vehicle,

Went into garage to have a chat with the owner, he says he's not going to waste any more time on my engine, if API have one on the shelf, he will get one from them and fit it in my car so at least something good has come out of this!

Stu the engine ( block ) is only a part of it. If you don't sort what caused the original problem it will happen again!
Find out if the turbo is the right one? What about injectors and so on...... And get the mapper to the car for getting it running!

I'm confused mate, if the engine gets replaced then what else can go wrong. The original problem was piston 3 was damaged. The turbo issue could be my mate reading the turbo wrong, he said he seen td04 on it but he could be wrong. He just had a quick look. Everyone told me that having a decat without a remap then taking it upto 135 using 95Ron I've prob melted a piston, which looks like what's happened. I really didnt have a clue about these cars but Charlie from mvm told me it didn't need mapped and I could run it on 95 because it's a uk model. Obv I know now that's bull!

What caused the piston to melt? Once you can answer that then you know what the problem was! Just putting another engine in doesnt fix the problem. The fact that your mate read TD0 anything means the car doesn't have the original turbo on it. What else is not normal?
See what I'm getting at?

but now you need to take that advice, the car will not run on anything less than 99 ron without risk of detting and piston damage.
decatting the car will require a remap, this is fact do not believe the dealer, your mum or next doors cat. IT REQUIRES A REMAP.
You need to find the fault that caused the problem or the problem will be there still and destroy this engine.
as said before the car is a nail get your money back as the dealer has no idea how to fix the car as proved by his last attempt.

I thought the cause of the piston damage was me trying to take the car flat out with the de cat and 95ron without the map?
I know now I need to use 99 and it was booked in for a map on the 1st of may because I was meant to be getting it back on Friday. So because I am getting it mapped and using 99ron it won't damage the new engine? Or am I wrong?

WALK AWAY AND GET A REFUND.....
nobody involved with this car has a clue what they are doing with it engine wise which will only end one way.

it should have a v35 turbo anyway, you dont know what caused the piston failure, you need to find this out before getting a new engine or they will be bolting on the same parts and the problem will still be there.

You were the first person that said I had melted a piston because of the decat. Why do you now think something else has caused it?
I can't walk away from it.

MVM imports, what a shock,
got some cars there and most of them are crap, it's the Scottish version of KTC FFS.
As people have said get a refund but I don't hold out much hope for you.good luck though.
