If you look at the front housing on your car the pipe that sticks out is straight like a little stub , if you look at some 05s the pipe comes out and is bent out like a 90 degree elbow , if someone could post a couple of pics you would see straight away

But like I've said I'm td05 now

Yep water / meth mix will be going on( read my post ) aquamist kit plumbed in
Its all wired up ready to go , just got to drill/tap manifold and sort out what mix /nozzle size and best location
I'm hanging fire a little till I run it and map it in , I want to concentrate on getting the speed density rom spot on and under my belt first
Sorry chap. Reading on phone so didn't read fully.

Ok, but even on a 16g you need to take into account for a newage cars weight. Is the turbo a hybrid?

The kit could be fitted via blanking dv off ans plumbing into one of the manifold nipples? Otherwise spray the mix onto the tmic?

Or forget that and just add direct to the tank the required mix ratio.

Hi there

We are running Water Methanol injection and we are gain 15bhp/25-30lbft with this against V-power alone, but with the 20% methanol we are gain 38bhp/40-50lbft

Best is plumb nozzle for water methanol near throttle body butterfly like we have

Bit lost bud , do you mean power to weight ?
No mate bog standard td0516g , I had bogo 16 on my classic and that was running 306.2 at about 16 if i remember right so I'd say it's got plenty over the td 04 ,,, if that's what u mean

Regarding the aquamist water / meth , I was using it as a intercooler spray before ,but it's just wasted using it for that , was thinking of mounting in the manifold somewhere it's gonna get a nice even spray , I think just putting it in the I/c pipes or ic itself means you will reap the benefit of the cooler dense/air intake but maybe lose some of the for want of a better term ( added fuel benefit ) of a more direct injection , thinking separate tank ( Sti boot mounted with slave pump) and mount nozzle just after throttle body ,,,, any suggestions on this one welcome
Really want to concentrate on my s/d mapping , you guys are side tracking me lol

Hi Jura didn't see your post , how's things
Yeah was thinking throttle body myself
You do realise your the one that suggested I have a look at mapping myself
Now look what you've done , it's never ending , all I seem to do is look at maps
It makes my brain hurt , lol

Hi there

Intercooler spray never used before and can't comment on this

If you will be using Aquamist system or AEM,those systems have all ready pump and 1gallon tank and controller(usually is activated by your desired boost, something will start at 0.5bar and will turn off at 1.5bar).

I will take the pictures tomorrow how we have done this and hope this help

Yes mate I've got the basic aquamist 1s system
I bought it of my mate so got no tank with it and purchased an adjustable boost pressure switch cuz the original was missing , ive had it set to spray at 14psi just on the intercooler ( more for messing about really)
Was gonna install a bigger tank in the boot and I've heard if you planning on boot mounting a slave pump is a good thing to have to keep the pressure up to the aquamist pump ( though I don't really know from experience ) what I am gonna do is get a level sender installed because the last thing you need is running out especially if your mapping and setting at high boost levels

Latest update , spent yesterday putting inlet back on (minus tgvs)
Double checked my carberry speed density map and flashed it in again , with launch control , and went for a few test and log drives ,
And it's fantastic , no hesitation , fuelings hitting targets and it pulls very well and smooth
The launch control is a lot better than the previous tinywrex patch
I'm using spark cut, it's more aggressive but way more effective
The only down side is the idle is 1050 don't seem as bad as it sounds
And a permenatly lit cel
Other than that I'm well happy highly recommended

What is the error code for the CEL, If you are using the CEL on knock function make sure you set the limit to a minus number (I use -1.7 for FLKC and FBKC). Also if you're driving a WRX you'll need to disable to error codes for the AVCS oil pump, coil packs and injectors - they are under the CEL fixes section at the bottom of the ROM.

What wide-band are you using?

Ah , so you can get the cel off then yes it's a wrx ,from what I've read up I was under the impression that the cel was a permenatly on ( or was that on earlier versions of the rom ?
Am I correct in thinking using the cel as a knock detection the higher minus number the the cel won't flash until higher levels of knock ?
It's my mates w/b , innovate LC somthing ,
I guess the idle issue has to stay
I'm so suprised how smooth it is , I expected it to be a little lumpy I suppose due to the nature of what it was intended for

Yes mate I did , although Its gonna be coming off soon I'm going , 18g maybe 20 but not really sure there's that much to be gained from going 20 ,
Still looking at options , also looking into forged motor bits and bobs because the times gonna come when it needs to be done
Then the gearbox starts turning its self inside out so that's on the hit list
Never ending hours of fun lol

Very true that's why I was more in favour of 18 or might look into hybrid options
It's just I really don't know where I'm heading at the moment , i think I've achieved around my 300 mark now which is pretty boring to to do ,,,
But I'm getting well into the mapping side ,, and especially the speed density stuff , I'm finding that far more interesting than bolting the bits on ,that's the easy part

I was told you can ,some say you can ,some say you can't
I know what i think
I've moved on a little now but good to hear you've got decent results out of your bug

I'm using a modded vag cable done for me by a guy in france who I came across on nasioc Called madjax ( very helpfull)
It's a bit of a pain to do the cable mod and you can only use it on certain ecus
But it's 16 times cheaper than a tactrix , I've no intention of modding or mapping other scoobys so as long as I can flash mine it's perfect
The software is romraider for map editing and logging
And ecuflash for flashing (putting maps in and out )
Also use learning view a lot to log
There's loads of other little bits and bobs but that's the basics
There's loads to read up on , mostly in the states
To be honest there's only one or to folk on here who can help the rest are all mouth and only have the confidence to tighten nuts and bolts , when it comes to the crunch they all run and hide away
