OK Mate , ive got that covered for you. sorry that you may have to go into work.
... just watched the forecast on the news and they said a month of rain will fall in the next 72 hours.. .!!!! . . .so it may get rained off anyway .
. . . . . how do we deal with this , i mean how do we decide to continue OR abort ???
i guess this has to be decided nearer the time ? ? or do we have a tried and tested procedure for such occurances??? what do you reckon ???

The event WILL go ahead whatever the weather. It would have to be 2 feet deep to stop it.

I've been to Prescott twice already this week and it is going to be damp and a bit muddy under foot so wear decent clothing and it'll be fine.

You really have to go just to watch Mike Manning in his 700 bhp Ford Puma. He's absolutely stunning to watch when it's wet!!

Hi I'm new to the forum. I'm doing an Autotest rally with Ciren Motorclub sunday morning so if I've not broken anything might pop along after.

I used to supply Prescott with the course cars (Italian Job MINI's) until they crashed one. Hopefully the weather will be nice as it gets blustery up there.

They still haven't lived that down.

How bad was it in the end?

If you were there or saw the car the damage was on the front corner where they stuffed it on the esses, leaving a nice Red MINI indentation on the barrier. Only a small matter of them not being properly insured etc. They coughed up in the end iirc it was around £3000. Those clam shell bonnet designs were always expensive to repair, that's part of the reason for the bonnet design change from R50MN - R56MN or so I was told.

Shortly after my funding was withdrawn for the sponsorship along with pretty much everything else, including my job! Shame really as they're a really good bunch of people at Prescott & I enjoyed practically living up there during the BMC.

The best was when there were half a dozen Veyrons there (the largest collection of them outside of the factory at the time) and also Ayrton Sennas JPS F1 car. Shame it rained that day.

Senna's Lotus is back this year. That'll be the 'La vie en bleu' meeting. I used to compete at that when I had my 205.

Hi, don't suppose you work for a company (initals are SS) that's just spent millions doing up it's premesis including a tunnel under the road (just completed)?

I'm quite sure it's your car I see parked there. I also watch in envy as you all leave about 12:30 on a friday when my day is a 3rd through.

Ok John, shame really would be weird to join a forum to find another member works over the road from me.

Well I've just washed my car so it is definitely going to rain tomorrow.

My autotest rally won't finish until about 2ish at the earliest so by the time I've picked the Mrs up we'll probably only get the last hour or so of prescott. I'll try and blag my way in but dunno if I can justify two tickets at £30 for an hour of rain racing but will try. They have let me in for free before due to those sort of circumstances.

My car had gold rota grids on at the moment so it'll be my car parked next to all yours if your wandering who's tagging along.

Well we got there about 15:00ish and everyone was just leaving. I saw a few scoobs on there way out not sure if it was any of you lot. A nice Classic in black with a bodykit and white wheels, an 04 blobeye in silver with small spoiler and a white classic with gold wheels.

I take it it got rained off?

yes mate it was abandoned by most of us due to the god awful wet stuff.

Will hopefully have something organised for later on this month, keep an eye open for a new thread m8.

Could have been my Classic.

It wasn't rained off it just finished early due to a fair few competitors not taking their second runs.

I waved to someone in a blue wagon. Was that you?
