Hi chaps.. bad news I'm afraid, it looks like I'm not going to be able to make this one.. I'm going paintballing with mates now instead.. Apparently, this meet is no excuse because I drive my car every day.. Looks like I'm going to have to wait for the next one....

fn51 - no probs, of course you can join in
Paul, shame you can't make it - but guess your mates have got a point
Anyone who doesn't want to drive (student scooby?)can always meet up at the pub at lunch time

Problems - problems! lol
I would love to come, I am from Coalville (Leics), but have got to be back home by 1pm as the Monaco Grand Prix starts live on TV - so depending what time you are intending to kick off for a spin - I could come and then race home, but miss the pub.
Alternatively - we could do lunch in a big screen sporty type pub in Derby !!!??? lol Worth a try - two birds one stone thing.

Ok guys,
Route is almost sorted I think - but depends on Pub!! ....can't quite decide which one to go for (good beer, good food, pretty garden or nice view (for photos!) - unfortunately can't have everything!).... oooooh, its such a responsibility being "pub finder"!
We will post final meet time (it'll be around 11am I think) and starting place (probably Kings Highway) towards end of week.
If anyone wants to just come straight to the pub we'll tell you which one when we've decided!
More later

Ouch, sorry to hear it Kev
OK folks it's sorted!
Assemble 11am at the Kings Highway for 11:15 departure.
Less than an hours drive finish at the **** Inn near Muggington for lunch (Sunday roasts and other meals - including veggie Mikee!)
We need an idea of how many will be eating so let us know ASAP so we can reserve a table or three!
Don't bother washing your car beforehand as the weather is gonna be wet & windy and so there will be mud in places.
Anyone who doesn't fancy driving can meet us at the **** Inn, I expect we will be there for a bit.

Apologies to anyone who didn't make it 'cos the board was down, we did try to contact people but we didn't have details for some people

i apologise for my absence but the gearbox didn't sound very healthy on saturday and didn't want to risk it, as it stands i think it might be repairable which is cheaper than 650 for a recon
hope you all had fun though, i might have to miss thursday aswell

No probs Kev, we wouldn't have wanted you breaking down in that weather (especially in the middle of the flood we had to drive though )
We actually had a very enjoyable drive, finishing up in cosy pub for lunch Thanks to those who made it despite the problems!
I'm sure there will be lots more opportunities over the summer for meets in the Notts/Derby areas for those who couldn't make this one
