Can't say I've seen that one on here, as all the bad spellers/texters seem to righ "ov" instead of "of"
FFS, its the same amount of letters, so you are not technically saving any time writing it that way.

its called the evolution of language - and mostly its all old tw*ts that are annoyed imo

do people actually get annoyed? is it any harder to understand? no its not, given the fact we only see a couple of letters per word and our brain fills in the rest.

id agree it represents lazy-ness to some degree - but thats also evolution. and where effort is required, ie a CV, uni project ect then id say its quite important,

internet forums??? fpmsl, u lot off moeney *****!!

I am not an old ****, and I get annoyed. Not by spelling mistakes, or the odd grammatical error, as I am far from perfect in that respect. What annoys me, is the apparent lack of trying. Alot of people come onto this forum to ask advice, yet can't be bothered to write in a manner that is fairly easily understood. You could say that laziness is evolution, I would hope not, but I'd accept the fact that people like to save time. If some people used some common sense, they'd maybe realise that the use of text speak or incoherent posts don't really do that. They usually cause arguments or simply no/little response at all. If a little bit of initial effort was put in, time would be saved in the long run.

You mention CVs and projects as requiring more effort, well I would say posting on a forum (especially if asking for advice) would fall into the same category. How can a person expect somebody they don't even know to take the time to provide decent advice and help if the OP can't even be bothered to try to string a sentence together? Text speak, or 'being lazy' may be fine amongst friends, who maybe all don't really care, but when interacting with other 'strangers' I think people should make a bit more effort.

It isn't evolution, it's people who are too f*cking stupid to have either gone to school, or listened when they were there, using incorrect words because they're now uneducated and ignorant.

It certainly isn't evolution Jef and I'm not a moany old tw@t at least not yet. It's not hard to ensure you've spelt things correctly and strung together a coherent and grammatically correct passage of text. You have access to the biggest encyclopedia in the world via the internet.

I wonder if the people who can't do 'your' and you're' correctly actually know how to use the internet

Sadly, that IS the problem - people don't see it as a serious issue any more. Sadly.
When you use the word "issue" don't you really mean "problem" which is the correct word anyway?
