Spoon I didn't say anywhere that I think the sun shines out of their ar$e, merely that they are the one organisation in the UK who can prevent registrations of litters and therefore the pedigree certification and they are there to provide information and assistance with your breed.
I have the KC breeder assured certificate, do I think it means anything? Do I ****, anyone can get it, you just buy it at the end of the day but it's supposed to mean you take your chosen breed seriously and abide by certain rules for breeding.
The register it provides, the 5 generation pedigree is there to assist in determining whether you are getting a dog with great blood lines and what recent show champions are in that line etc. and of course to make sure you don't in breed.
As I said I used Champdogs to sell my litter although many of my enquiries came through the Stud dogs owner and her help and knowledge was more valuable than any book or website.

My old girl - she is 12 1/2 years old now!
One of the best lines - her grandad was a Cruffs winner and is pictured in loads of GSD Books.
They are, quite simply, the Dog above all dogs in my opinion.

But then you balance it out with stuff like this about the wonderful wonderful GSD
The last line is the only time I agree with you 100%

I have had a few breeds of dog over the years... A GSP,springer and a brief period with a Pyrennean but a GSD has never been far away..
They truly are a unique dog in many ways..I love the breed and can never really see a time when i would be without one.Even though they are demanding and tie you down the companionship and affection they return is unmeasurable..

I think if the OP still has the whole litter she may have either been eaten by them or been sectioned by now.
