I think I like hodgson . He gave wooney some acknowledgement for the goal whilst telling him he was **** for missing the other three chances ( without saying as much directly )

I thought we were **** and our dynamics changed because Rooney was on the pitch. We probably should have won that game 3-2. Rooney missing 2 good chances that Carrol probably would have buried after being full of himself from Tuesdays game. Now we've killed his enthusiasm I expect.

Seriously though Id honestly prefer to play Spain in the next game. I dont fancy us against the Italians. Plus its a Sunday night. I dont want a session on Sunday lol.

I don't think England will beat Italy.
The Italians will grind a nil nil and nick a late goal

Poor game by England, mistake by Ukraine goal keeper leads to a simple goal. I know Rooney missed a few chances which he should have scored easily, but Ukraine were the better team on the night. John Terry played well.

England are lucky they are top of group to avoid meeting Spain.

I think they will beat the Italians, they are not that good.

I disagree! The Italians will dive, foul and cheat their way to a penalty or something which we will not be able to recover from. Not to mention all the time wasting and free kicks they will get.

They were lucky to win that match and to avoid having to play Spain next.

They did not play all that well, very little constructive attacking on the opponent's goal and the goal against them should have been allowed of course. The observer must have been asleep!.

Rooney was in the right place as usual to get his goal,he was lucky that the ball slipped through to him though and that he had an open goal.

Hope they pull their socks up before they play Italy.

Les
