Does your son have experience of driving high performance cars, as I noticed he's only 21. I just worry for his safety, as these cars can be quite lethal for inexperienced drivers.

Hey there, I totally understand where you are coming from I would feel the same but he has only drive high power cars, also I know that on a public road he will never break the speed limit as his licence means to much to him

Just been to look at the black one with him and he has replaced the rear shocks but they are gold not the red the sti shocks should be, are they cheap replacments?

Thanks

hi, iv had my 2005 blob for 2 years in july and wouldnt change it for anything(except maybe a GTR of a litchfield type 25 in a few years!)mine had a PPP fitted from factory and i have had a few mods done by RCM exhaust/remap/hks ssqv.I wanted a PPP too for the extra mods and BHP,but again not essential if you look to change exhaust etc and modify.i had a rear knock with the suspension about 1 1/2 years ago but for £150 the guys at RCM re-greased and i have had no knock since and covered 20k miles,Olly did say it may only last 6 months-1 year however maybe i have been lucky.I have only took it to RCM for everything for peace of mind and want to make sure its looked after properly. But again a great car i have not once ever had a feeling that there is a problem and without a shadow of a doubt the most reliable car i have owned.

thanks pete, i havnt heard one bad thing about owning a blob eye as yet which is great news and tommy, strangely he has phoned up his insurance company and they have quoted him £1700 with an exhaust and remap, fully comp, i did question it myself as he is paying £940 now for his 206 GTI 180 with, remap, exhaust, coilovers, anthracite alloys, different headlights/tail lights, polybushed all on his insurance, i think its a great quote for his age but obviously very expensive still as i pay £157 on my scoob

Are you sure that's not a month lol or are you being naughty and having him as a named driver
I only find it hard to believe as when I got my blob sti a few years ago the first time I insured it with full Ncb no points garaged and 5000 miles a year and I'm in my thirties it was nearly £1000 and insurance has gone up since then.
Who's this quote with???
I might need to ring them lol

hey, unfortunately he is still on the hunt spotted another one tho this 1 again at 9k but with 45k miles, fsh and cam belt done, just got a few question once again "/ it has a ppp certificate but hasn't got the door sticker is that dodgy? also it has had the 18" alloys changed for the 17" his personal favourite tho so is okay, now when it comes to us trying to figure out if it has the ppp fitted i noticed the springs are red? is this a sign of the upgrade, it also has a prodrive backbox round box if that makes a difference

Many thanks once again

I'm toying with the idea of selling my car.
Haven't had it long, 2005 crystal grey, dccd model, 38k full history, all belts done last year, just had service, ppf7 18 inch alloys, ppp with docs, sports cat with miltec back box.
Keith from scoobyprojects described the car as exceptional.
Pm if interested

PPP doesn't include springs or upgrade wheels.

Mine also didn't have the sticker on the sill. Get a an RAC/AA report done though it is well worth the £150, the no sticker could be a sign of repair though I've read that some didn't get the sticker (lazy dealers).
