Classic - replacing rotten rear arches with front arches

i believe it was a 55 plate car i got the pannel from a friendly body shop out of there scrap bin, was the closest they had there at the time, i do have photos somewhere, will have alook on my memory cards, although it would depend on how much of your arch you need to replace i did about an inch and a half the whole way around

That panel looks like it's been spot welded in...VERY poorly, then gobboed up and smoothed.

How long it will last, I don't know. Any knock to the bumper could tear it clean off

Also, as they rot from the inside out, does anybody treat the inner panels/replace the metal etc ?

Just shown it to my mate.... he said he likes the concept but not the execution.

I have asked him to do a blow by blow account of the process when he tackles it and he has promised he will.

A couple of bad winters and I reckon the bubbles of rust will start resurfacing on the photos above.

I have noticed a lot of the early Classics MY 93 -96 don't seem to rust as bad on the rear arches like the MY 98-01 do.
