So what have the Muslim Indians ever done to you then? I noticed you singled them out. Let's be honest now. You simply don't like Muslim don't you. It's quiet sad really. Fortunately your generation is slowly dying out. There is nothing wrong with not likeing Muslims. Hey, i'm not too keen on many people there is nothing wrong with that. It is nature.

the shaking hand thing is a Saftey measure, when you have someone in any prison in here or the USA any where who havent had contact with a woman what do they do? they bum other male inmates.
if you have a young lad never had contact with a woman in his life and shakes hands with this hot chick what do you think is going through his mind. the rule is for every Muslim, there are many reason behind it unfortunately I don't follow it but I respect it and agree with it.

Interesting, although the grounds on which you claim it flaws on could be flaws in your thinking process. I see what you mean ref taking criticism as personal. Very much like when flag or culture criticism. It would be nice to meet you one day. Maybe go for a halal kebab and a bacon sandwich

This thread just demonstrates why religion of any kind has no place in a modern society.
If you read through the thread, as a rational human, it basically amounts to
my fictional, make believe god is better that your fictional, make believe god
If some of the things in this thread were said whilst being examined by doctors for soundness of mind, i think the prognosis would borderline on the mentally ill side.

If you didn't know:
Why didn't you know? Did your Lord not give you your faculties? Do you have no intelligence? If so you have a valid excuse.
Didn't have a choice:
Compulsion is a valid excuse.
Good intentions:
The Prophet Muhammad – Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him – said:
Actions are but by intentions, and everyone will have what he intended. So whoever migrated to Allah and His Messenger, he migrated to Allah and His Messenger. But whoever migrated for some worldly benefit, or to take a woman in marriage, then his migration was only to what he migrated to.
Al-Bukhâri, Muslim and others.
This hadîth teaches us the principle that acceptance of our deeds and whether or not they are regarded as righteous depends primarily on what the intention behind them is. If the intention is good and pure – to receive Allah’s pleasure and reward, the deed is righteous. Otherwise the deed is futile and false. This is the first thing that needs to be dealt with.
The second condition which needs to be met for our deeds to be accepted by Allah is that they should be in conformity with Islâm’s true teachings as taught to us by the Prophet – peace and blessing be upon him – and as understood and applied by the Righteous Predecessors. Hence, the Prophet - Allah’s peace and blessings be upon him - stated:
Whoever does a deed that does not conform to our commands will have it rejected.
Al-Bukhârî and Muslim.

Good intentions are very important, but not fully understood by many. I always thought Osama Bin Laden was a good example for explaining this. We can assume he thought, his intentions when planning the many attacks and explosions he took responsibility for, were good. So in his mind he has passed the first part. The second condition is where he has fallen down.

I will admit that I simplified my post a little, to avoid semantic arguments and removed terms such as haraam and makruh - partly in case Id misunderstood too, I suppose.
Thanks for catching what I was throwing.

there is no problem though, its you who has the problem.. so what if the sexes are segregated, what does that have to do with you? how does it effect you? dont try and bring this back to the treatment of women, as if you care about my sister and my mother etc. it works both ways, if a women is working she wouldnt be able to shake the hand of a male, it is the laws of interaction between male and female in islam. hand shaking is just one aspect of it.

Segregation of the the sexes causes neurosis and social problems, it's indefensible from any reasonable pov.
I always suspects that Islam objected to women working now that is confirmed.

Plus all their earnings are their own, there is no obligation to spend any of it on their husband yet there is an obligation on the husband to financially support his wife.

No it does not, to me it seems you have a problem accepting debates, criticism or ideas which seem alien to you. Nobody has mentioned 'my god is better than yours' at all. Did you imagine it or something? It is only text. Browse back and you will find no such thing. Nevertheless what else can you expect form the militant Athiests
If a militant Atheist is someone who uses logic and reason, doesn't as an adult believe in fantasy and the fictional stories in books written by primitive man, someone who rejects religious dogma and wants society as a whole progress, than i am happy to be labeled one.

Do you think it is good that women are allowed to keep their money or is that sexist? Women not given responsibility like children?

That is why i said, basically amounts to and this debate, if you can call it that, is idiotic.
If a militant Atheist is someone who uses logic and reason, doesn't as an adult believe in fantasy and the fictional stories in books written by primitive man, someone who rejects religious dogma and wants society as a whole progress, than i am happy to be labeled one.

By justifying your argument by using subtle tacky insults in an attempt to justify your viewpoint does not give you much credibility. Especially considering you have not added to the debate or tried to add to the debate you just walshed in and made a daft statement (which you have repeated again). You cannot simply deem this debate is idiotic especially when you are not adding to it (unless this is what you call adding).

I never mentioned equal rights.
In fact some of these rights work very much in favour of the woman.
- Woman can keep her family name (no compulsion to take the husbands surname)
- Woman has more right to the kids than the husband does
And so on so forth. There is a lot to learn, i'm no preacher but hey

What you are calling a right is really a patronisation.

Children don't have responsibility adults do is what I mean. In denying women financial responsibility we are rendering them as children. We are saying men are adults and have responsibility for their family whilst women are not considered adequate for the same.

why do Jewish women shave there heads and wear wigs when they get married? that's really fair to women.
why do you have to have a sheet with a whole in it when you have sex with your wife is it cause sex is seen dirty in your religion?
when your wife is on her period why don't you sleep on the same bed as her? when you supposed to be comforting her?
I don't really like talking to j Taylor and Tony as they always bashing Islam and asians always for the past few years without doing research.
