Come on Taylor, nobody wants to behead you. I appreciate it's the choice method of killing by the AQ boys however there doesn't seem to be much of a call for beheading from the Salafi boys.

Religion, i love the way it brings people together.
Unfortunatly it seems to be on either side of the fence.
Those that attempt to sit on said fence get shot at from both sides.
P.s your god whatever you choose to call him, knows what your thinking, if he exsists as described in all these variations of the same theme.
I prefere to just live good be honest and true to myself, except what is put before you as a gift, not a test or temptation and deal with the trials of life as they present themselves.
I figure i'll be a long time dead so sort the all the sins i commit out and repent when i fully understand the extent to which i have sinned.
Then with my reasoning i will have actually not committed any sins because i did not fully understand, and since i didn't grovel at any alter and pray before false idols, i unlike all these religious fruitcakes have not commited the afore mentioned sin, ergo hello valhallah.

Les,
Of course what you believe personally is up to you. But if what you believe affects others, then it is fair and right to question it and discuss it.
I don't know you personally, but you have never struck me as the sort of person who would foist you views on someone else or discriminate against someone because of them. Sadly, that is not the case for many many people (like the person in the OP), and that is what we are talking about.
Kill them all and let God sort them out
Geezer

Otherwise I am quite happy to go my own way and for others to go theirs while I mind my own business.
On another tack, if someone refuses to shake a woman's hand because of his religious beliefs, it is naturally a bit of a strange way to behave in our eyes. It is however a precept of his own religion and therefore he is entitled to follow it and if it affects other's opinions of him because he carries that behaviour outside his religion, then he has to accept that other people will form their own views of his actions.

spoon fed what? stop constantly referring anyone who tells you the islamic stance on something as someone being spoon fed... why not show your proof on where it says this is the correct way in islam and not just your opinion on things? or are you simply telling people your position on things and you dont care of the islamic position?

Your reply - Comprehension fail?

Clarity,
Why are you still confused?
Anyway, I am not here to argue with you or Shaid. I realise, again what you are all about.
Bye bye

Common sense will always prevail. I also wager that those who are 'trying' to educate me are most likely to be spoon fed their religion rather than taking time to see what they are actually doing, what x y and z means, context etc. Of course, i might be wrong. This 'proof' of which you talk about is subjective. You speak to me like i do not know the various stages (4 iirc) of repentance etc etc. What you don't understand is that most non Muslims reading this will be reading about this for the first time and come to the conclusion that you are a fruitcake. No offence intended but by going into technicalities you sound no different to one of those Jehovas Witness ladies that comes knocking on the door.
By all mean i'm no Waki, neither am i less religious than Mr Beardo. I'm more concious in the way people see us and frankly fed up of all the crap our community churns out and gives nothing in return.

I am not a scholar. I can wager that you are not one either. How can you claim to be in a position to comment on the Islamic position.

the only reason i spoke to you in that way, is because of what you said.. and im sure if you read back u'll understand what i mean. now rather than thinking what others will think, its the islamic position, end of. they asked it, they got it, you just came in the middle and tried to offer a watered down version of, he should just do it etc...and im no different to you, i work, pay taxes and abide by the law etc. and i do give back. just seems you have an issue and feel you have something to prove being a muslim and a professional in a good job in the workign world etc. among non muslims. yes our community has downfalls.. you and me both know that, look at out locations. but still cause thats bothering you, shouldnt make you act like you are ..overhyping and showing your mingling and intergrating while violating your own laws.

Also ref violating my own laws. Well this weekend i was violating some real English laws in good fashion (don't worry folks it was nothing sexual or criminal - just civil). I don't see how i cannot shake a woman hands regardless of what your link says. Granted religion might not allow it and say it's wrong however i have great control over my sexual desires and i can tell you or any mullah out there that by shaking a womans hand will not give me an instant urge to jump into bed with her. I'm sure God can overlook this matter when he weighs up some of the good i have done.

You're an Islamic Fundamentalist who takes significant guidance from the writing of Ibn Abd Al-Wahhab. You're a Wahhabist and I've studied the subject deeply enough to understand what that really stands for. I see through obfuscation and I can spot al-taqqiya from a thousand yards. My partner travels the globe as a senior audit and assurance chartered accountant - if she offered you her hand to conclude a business meeting you'd refuse on the grounds that she's a women. That makes you a cultural enemy.
Do i have to refute this one again

the shaking hand thing is a Saftey measure, when you have someone in any prison in here or the USA any where who havent had contact with a woman what do they do? they bum other male inmates.
if you have a young lad never had contact with a woman in his life and shakes hands with this hot chick what do you think is going through his mind. the rule is for every Muslim, there are many reason behind it unfortunately I don't follow it but I respect it and agree with it.
