Ignoring all the apple/jack bashing, this is a very nice product. Try comparing it to similar spec "gaming" laptops like Alienware or the Razerblade and it's not that expensive. Yes these companies are renowned for being expensive but it seems apple are just putting themselves in the market with everyone else.

Of course there are cheaper ways of doing things but Apple don't have to make their products cheaper to sell.

What fools, trying to call me out over a few days. It must sting something rotten when a company you detest does great things for it's users.

Beef, you're correct, it's all in the wording. I care not that I can Video Call over 3G, I hate video calling and not having to fire up Skype to do so isn't exactly making me **** in my pants.

There are over 200 other great updates to iOS all of which I prefer over FaceTime and all of which is keeping iOS on the top of the OS pile, not that hard when Android is still so Ubuntu and Windows phone is, well, a bit ****.

OSX Mountain Lion is looking great isn't it? Way better than Ubuntu and that Microsoft product all the Sheep use. £20 for the update, how much will Windows 8 be when it eventually arrives?

Personal favourite update, Smart Case for iPad, I love my Smart Cover but will be moving to the case I think.

Update to Windows 8 can be just $15, so about £10. I've been using different versions of it for free since about Sept of last year. It's actually pretty good as well.

Well good for Microsoft. Where can I buy an upgrade? I have a Windows 7 laptop that's doing nothing, perhaps 8 will make it useful.

Just looked, that's only for laptops bought from this month on. £100 no doubt for the rest of us.

You quote years and not 2 years, by doing this you are insinuating that Apple's iPhones have indeed been able to make 3g video calls for many years, which is of course an incorrect statement
If you had said that about Samsung's M8800 though, you would have been totally correct, that has been able to do 3g calls for years since its been out since 2008

Oh Jack are those Lemons tasting nice? you just made yourself look a really big ****

That new Pro does look a very nice bit of kit not really a gaming machine even though its spec suggests it, you need to read the small print and you will understand some downsides to going very thin unfortunately though if you had one of those laptop coolers underneath it would be fine i think

You're a ****. OK just to make you happy, 1 year 11 and a half months, feel better now you pedantic ****.

Now off you go and call out the person who stated they could make 3G video calls on a non 3G phone. That should get you off for the evening.

Can you not read you moron?
I put the question to you about the 3GS, you replied years, not nearly 2 years, not 2 years but years, basically saying apple have been able to do it for years, and no the 3GS cannot do video calls, wow, you really are an idiot 100% of the time Jack

PS, you are about as technical as a rock at the bottom of the sea, if you want to see real multi tasking on a phone, go look at the Samsung Galaxy 3, real innovation there and not "pause then play"

On a side note, I think ASUS are the only company trying to do anything innovative at the moment. Everyone else just seems to be improving what's already there. The original transformer was a good idea. I know a dock for a phone has been done before, but the new PadFone is looking great and also the laptop transformer thing that is a full Windows 8 laptop when docked and an Android tablet when detached. Then their other laptop that has a display on the lid, so tablet when closed, laptop when open. Or it can display on both sides at once so someone sitting across from you can view the same screen.

Quite interested in the retina display laptop, but for some reason I thought recent Macs already had touch screens but it seems not?

Retina display (pardon the pun) looks good for visual. About as useful as a chocolate teapot for audio

You carry on being a tit Tony, it suits you. Have a read yourself, see just how silly and petty you look. The iPhone has had video calling for years, well, if you want to be a tit then 1 year 11 months and a number of days. I stand by my statement. No off you scoot, just like you did the last time.

As for the S3, I see no innovation.

Let's have a look at what's making Tony the Tit **** his knickers.

jaytc2003 said....
yep

"For the first time on Apple devices, video calls will be able to be made over a cellular connection, rather than relying on wi-fi"

Only about 6 yrs after most other manufacturers

To which I replied....

I think you'll find that's been available on the iPhone for years as well. What you're talking about is FaceTime and you'll never experience that sort of quality on anything but Apple products.

For some reason my statement, which is only not precicely true by a few days got Tony all a quiver, I truly don't understand why. Few cogs short if you ask me.

You got the wrong post, but anyhow. I think what you seem to think in your delusion is I said the 3GS has a front facing camera when clearly I didn't. I said the iPhone has been able to do video conferencing - yes with a front facing camera - for years and I'm correct by all but a few days. At no point did I mention the 3GS.

Have a read of your own drivel then get back to sucking Lemons Tony. No doubt you'll disappear again now you've been called out... again.

Oh and thanks for turning this thread to ****. You at least have skills in one area.

Awwww, Jackie diddums throwing his teddy out of his pram because he has been called out (again ) should I go fetch it for you? Little diddums is now crying eh Jack? cant get your own way? just showing how pathetic you really are and years, really you didnt know that your precious Iphone couldnt make 3g video calls and its only because I put a date in there that you know exactly how long its been

As for turning this thread to ****, you do that to every thread you start Jack, its just the BS you come out with all the time

Just for reference, this is the meaning of years

(years) informal a very long time; ages:

The iphone has not been around for a very long time, neither has it been able to do 3g video conferencing for a very long time
Just own up Jack, you cannot look any more of a pr1ck than you already are

Tony

PS, the reason I wasnt around much last time was because I was working and didnt have my laptop with me.

Tony, I hope when you sober up you've forgotten this thread.

You really are going to all this trouble because I consider years to be the plural of year. In a way I was hoping that after my last post you'd show me something I was missing, maybe I'd misread your post, but no, you really are that pathetic.

If you can see through your drunken haze, and I truly do hope you're drunk, then perhaps appologise to me and ask the mods to remove your posts, it's for the best.

And your two iPhones, Blackberry and Galaxy S3. You claim to work for O2, so data shouldn't be a problem, I'm not sure what to believe anymore. You could be a 12 year old wind up merchant or a drunk going by your behaviour on this thread.

Jack, you call me a 12 year old, yet you seem to keep acting like a 3 year old, you have no clue what so ever by the sounds, if you ever grow up (very doubtful) and if you bin your arrogant attitude to people (also very unlikey), and then take a LONG hard look at yourself in the mirror (if it doesnt crack ), you may see that you need to change, because at the moment all you do is spew total crap, put people down when you are wrong, show that you really have no intelligence at all and your limited knowledge on every subject means you constantly make a fool out of yourself, yet you dont see it.
You say I dragged this thread down, yet you abused me after my first post, shows how on edge you are, you must be one paranoid sad puppy.

As for apologies, you need to read these posts again, you are the instigator so its you who needs to apologise, and pull yourself together, no one really takes much notice of the **** you write now

Its an S2 the rest I dont even have to defend myself over, ever written an epic on an iphone? Hence the reason for using a laptop.

I'm still wondering why you never figured out that your 3GS couldnt make 3g video calls though

One last time Tony, what makes you think I believe the 3GS has a front facing camera? My quote was, "the iPhone has done that for years." now you can go ahead and call me out for being a few days out with the iPhone 4's release date, that's fine, you win, I knew the month and not the day, but at no point did I mention a 3GS.

I know you desperately want to put me down, I called you out on multitasking and it must have hurt, no one likes a custard pie in the face. But please, wait around a while and you'll find something much better than a few days wrong in a release date.
