I thought your headlights flashed automatically once you are 3 feet from the car in front of you?

Or is that just BMW's and Audi's

So how will police know if motorists are warning other oncoming vehicles of the speed trap from further down the road?
I guess they need another patrol car hidden somewhere ready to pounce on culprits. Hmm suddenly they need 2 vehicles for every speed trap...

We have a regular speed trap near us. Country lane with national speed limit which reduces to 40 mph before the brow of the hill. Quite often on the other side of the hill there is a van parked with speed camera poking out of the back. Lots of motorists suddenly brake as it's the natural reaction, regardless of the speed they think they are doing... I wonder which is more dangerous! Sudden braking or flashing lights giving oncoming drivers plenty of warning..

Nick

It was the other way around.

An AA patrolman on his motorbike and sidecar outfit would always salute a motorist with an AA badge but if there was a speed trap he did NOT salute.

They said, you flashed at 3 cars.

I said yes, and I've got 3 brothers.

Typical Police state bull****, its a inevitable consequence of our failed legal system that now the POlice can create law just by handing out tickets that cost the public too much to fight. Only a court should be able to isssue fines, not our dishonest, untrustworthy Police force.

How utterly ludicrous. Folks will just find another way of warning others the police are about and on a fund raising stint
